I got the Simon Furman "Ultimate Guide" a week ago and yesterday I relized that there isn't any trees on Cybertron. So does that mean there is no air on Cybertron?

Cybertron doesn't even have a true atmosphere so no as far as I know, nor is there water on cybertron.

ok, i have had a theory on this for quite some time.

 

In TF:TM, Galvatron proceeds to choke Hot Rod while they are inside Unicron. Now earlier in the movie Hot Rod is underwater and is talking and breathing out bubbles as is Kup. So maybe it's for a type of coolant system. They breath in air (kind of like the reason your car has a grille on the front) to help cool them. So that's why Galvy was choking Hot Rod trying to make him overheat.... just a theory

also when carly and spike are on cybertron they seemed fine

They olfactory sensors. Maximals and Pedacons breathe. Autobots and Decepticons were/are constantly in outer space and underwater talking regularly so no they don't breathe. What Galvatron was doing to Hotrod was simply crushing his neck before decapitating him most likely. I think all the staining and grunting the transformers did was just to help us relate to what ever they were doing.

 

The question I have is could Transformers feel some type of sexual pleasure? Remember when Rattrap ask Silverbolt if he found any new positions referring to Blackarachnia? Even Orion Pax had a girfriend. I was thinking if there was only cosmetic and mental difference between the two transformer sexes, then what need did they have to hook up? Like do they meld sparks or what?

Well its an 80's cartoon and most people in the 80's didnt think for realism did they?

I think that both Autobots and Decepticons need air in the same way a car needs air intakes. And to give an example....

 

Everytime Smokescreen(G1)used his exhausts to create a dense smoke cloud, any bot or con around would cough or complain about the toxicity of that cloud of smoke. That could be proof that Transformers need air for some basic processes, not necesarily to breathe, but maybe a cooling system or iar intakes for their alternate modes.

 

Jets need air for propulsion, so thats another example of how a Con would need air.

does it really matter? just accept tf's for what they are. toys, comic and tv characters.

I think Galvy strangled roddy to crush the circuits connecting the CPU brain to his body. I also think they have advanced voice processors which need air to function well.
