None of the people who make these claims seem to be able to show any evidence of what they say.

 

I think they are just grasping at words to try and express some reason why they dislike the designs. And while thats fine inso far as it goes. That doesnt make this specific claim actually true or anything.

I've circled in red the parts where you can see Megatron's inner workings. Now I'll give you that my own truck has exposed part especially on the undercarriage. Things like suspension, exhaust, body framing. All these things can be seen from the bottom of my truck, the difference is it hasn't been in a war for millions of years so there's no need to protect it.

 

If you still think my reasoning is not valid. Then maybe you'll accept my reason #2 for not liking the designs: I just think they suck. (And of course that won't stop me from seeing the movie I've been waiting for one since I was 10. But that doesn't mean I can't think the designs sucked. I loved Spider-man but I thought Green goblin looked like a villain from Power Rangers)

Like it, dislike it, whatever makes you feel better. We should all be thankful that our hobby is getting recognition in a way that (hopefully) won't suck. Can't we just wait until the damn movie comes out BEFORE blasting it?

 

Yes, I like G1. Yes, I like most of the series that came after G1, and I have about 5,000,000 toys in my spare bedroom devoted to this hobby. But dammit, why can't people just chill out about this damn movie!!!!!!!!! I am keeping my hopes up - I actually like the designs, and I am looking forward to a kickass movie in '07.
