  1. Right, I'd really like to repaint Movie SS in G1 Tracks colours. The character and the overall look really remind me of Track, except for the whole skating thing, but the rest works. I'll be using my Binaltech Tracks as a guide. I have a fair amount of experience painting miniatures, but I've never tried to paint a TF. I've got a selection of acrylic model paints (Citadel), but I know these cane asily rub off. So, question 1. Should I find enamels to use instead? Or maybe just get a coat of gloss varnish or something? Question 2. Is it work stripping the model down first with some paint remover, or just painting straight over the original colours? I was plan…

  3. Started by Guld,

My Brother came to visit so I had another chance to take some digital pics of my kitbashes for everyone. There are a LOT of pics so it might take a while for this page to load. Well, here goes: Start it off simple...Red alert:

  4. Transformers Garage is on the look out for the best custom / kitbash to feature each week here and in the Transformers Garage Hall of Fame section. This week's featured custom are the Technobots by ALPHAMAGNUS. The five Technobots Scattershot, Strafe, Nosecone, Lightspeed, and Afterburner form Computron in this great-looking custom. 5. Started by kalron,

I am working on a Technobot/Computron update for my classics collection. I have decided on the following: Scout Clocker = Lightspeed (paint) Scout Ransack = Afterburner (remold and paint) Scout Signal Flare = Nosecone (added drill and paint) Scout Skyblast = Strafe (added front guns and paint) My question is with Scattershot. I was thinking the Cybertron/Galaxy Force Voyager Starscream, but it is WAY hard to find for a good price. My second thought is Armada Starscream, but I do not know its size. Is it larger than a Voyager class or smaller? Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

  6. Started by Bobby Lemain,

I bought a kabaya metroplex kit off Might Gaine (ebay), and since my WST collection needed more beef (and I wasn't willing to pay $50+ for a fullsized metroplex) I decided to fix up the KO and make him shine. Literally. clear coat ftw.

  7. Started by JAF,

Well it's been a loooong time (and many attempts) but I've finally put together a kitbash of Ironhide that I feel does the G1 character justice. The shell is a mold of the super hard to find vintage Nitto 1/24 kits. It's not perfect and has some casting imperfections, but hey, Ironhide is an old bot so it's wear and tear from warfare. I've included WIP shots leading up to the almost done jammy. Enjoy... Early test. Early shell fit. The shell was cut on a band saw. I used a bunch of very small screws to fasten the parts together (glued too of course). There's a bunch of scratchbuild hardware in there as well, made of styre…

  8. Started by The Librarian,

From the broken bricks of the old...to the gigantic construction of the new! I had the urge to build something out of lego and it occured to me that building on the scale of all my G3 models real didn't allow for complete, practical transformation schemes. So I broke a few up, thought a bit, started building and hey presto, Seekers! The title of the thread, Darkest Hour, is to do with the vague plot line I've come up with for these guys. It's a 'what if' based on the movie: What if Soundwave had been killed, therefore meaning Megatron was left to die in Autobot city, therefore no Galvatron, therefore Starscream became leader; what if Hot Rod was given the Matri…

  9. Hi guys, just sharing a recent custom paintjob I did on my third party Xovergeb TF-02 Trailerforce (God Ginrai Optimus Prime!).
