By the Gods, finally an update!

 

Well I started shortly after posting this thread, but then just stopped for some....reason, but I've taken the project back up and here's what I've done so far!

Things I've learned: Apply the gloss in thinner coats. I already know to thin my paints, but this gloss is something vastly different. It's evident in the rough and splotchy bits. I wonder if I can just sand down the bad bits then redo them. I didn't really bother with any highlights or anything besides a few around the black chest.
