Sweet. I get to post some news! http://www.botcon.com/ I think he looks sick.

Hasbro, Inc has finally come out and said it: they do not condone the work of the third party shops and they will never work with them. Asked during the question and answer session at Transformers Cybertron Con 2012 over the weekend, Hasbro has finally publicly taken a stand against the custom shops, but did not specify if or when they were going to take legal action. This is the first time that Hasbro has taken a stand like this. They have previously said that they don't work with these shops and do not see any type of relationship in the future. Takara Tomy started exploring legal options last April against various shops, among them iGear, TFC Toys, and PerfectEffect. H…

Well I didn't see this topic anywhere so I thought I'd bring it up. Botcon.com now has pics of Cheetor up. He's Clocker with a new head mold. I felt the Hot Shot mold would've been perfect for him, but they probably wanted 1 Voyager, 2 deluxe and 2 basics to balance out the set. Oh well.

Got clarification from ebay UK today after they pulled my encore megatron with gun blanked out and G1 megatron pictured only in robot mode. Ebay state anything which can resemble a replica firearm is now banned and megatron be it shown in robot or walther mode is one of those items!!! this sucks!

A new spin-off third party custom shop MakeToy, has taken their website live and is showcasing products that they debuted at BotCon 2011, plus a bit of a surprise. A listing on the bottom of the page, an image of what appears to be a black and white line-drawing of the combined Constructicons with these vague details: "Series: Build" and "Name: Giant." Bumblebee's face was revealed last night and there was obviously a split between people's opinions to the face. However, over at the Don Murphy board, half of the screenwriter duo, Roberto Orci, was asked whether or not the face was the final design, which many fans have speculated. Mr. Orci had this to say: "without confirming or denying anything, all faces will have CG elements augmenting them." Read the Full News Story Here

Now, I really like the boxed set, but this is pretty lame.... :tfhuh The Transformers Collectors' Club has revealed the attendee figure as Ricochet. Due to the popularity of the Shattered Glass convention set, the set sold out earlier this week with Ricochet coming free to all registered Primus package attendees that were unable to receive the Shattered Glass convention set. Ricochet is a repaint of the Transformers: Cybertron Smokescreen, the same mold also used for the Jazz figure in this year's exclusive set. Take a look at the figure at BotCon.com

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, two of the three writers of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, have a message to those who were offended by the Twins in the film: "we sympathize." They also distanced themselves from the controversy, revealing that the gold tooth on Skids was not in the script. "It shows you that we dont control every aspect of the movie," Mr. Kurtzman tells Film School Rejects. Read more. Read the Full News Story Here

I don't know if this would be considered news, but I just got back from Walmart and was shocked by what I saw in the Toy section: What was behind the plastic was very clear: Deluxe Wheelie, Skids, Rampage, Preview BB, Chromia, Sideswipe, Desert Brawl, Sideways and Breakaway Robot Replica Prime, Ratchet, Starscream Leader Megatron and Prime Voyager Demolisher, Starscream, Ironhide, and Prime Various FAB's BB Voice Changer Helmet and Gun Arm Thing. Even what was left of Universe and Animated was covered up. I managed to slip a Chromia out and price scanners showed the price. Register still came up as No Sell.

GenZhao of KOToys have posted some new images of Transformers that are described as "prototypes of toys in development." Without much more information on what the figures are, there's much to speculate about. The figures appear to Cybertronian in nature with exotic stylings that don't echo any production cars we know of. Could these be the new transformers Hasbro hinted at recently? What do you think they are? Read the Full News Story Here
