I never even noticed the small Stacks. That suck but who cares. Not buying it anyway for more than $25

Just like with the whole Power Rangers Megazords versus Sentai mecha debate, the ones complaining the loudest are the ones who have the resources to buy the "correct" imports.

"No! They took the lights out of the fists of the Jungle Pride Megazord! Now it doesn't glow like the GekiTouja like I already have! Bandai sucks!"

"No! They chopped off 25th Anniversary Prime's smokestacks! Now it doesn't look like my Encore Convoy, New Year's Convoy, and my original G1 Prime! Hasbro sucks!"

You win this thread.

No interest. I got a replacement G1 Prime not too incredibly long ago.. great shape too, just a lil dirty in the wheels.. and needs new decals.

I dunno.. this particular one seems like its made a lil incorrectly. The trailer looks like it's almost white. Wouldn't surprise me if they made him all plastic really.. <_< .. even though I heard it would be more expensive to do it that way because of the way the mold was built.. meh..

I wonder if hasbro intends to do more "g1 versions" .. it just seems kind of random they're bring out ol G1 Prime for no real reason.

The boxed set looks nice, but why not go the extra mile and do some updates that would really make this reissue kick ass? Like using the head sculpt from the IPOD docking station, and actually sculpting a peg onto his blaster where the useless handle is. Maybe fix the joint where his legs fold back so it doesn't wear-out after several transformations. Find a way to clip the fists on instead of an easily worn "peg and hole scheme". To me this is just another lazy reissue with a reprinted comic and a DVD thrown in. I'm guessing that it's mainly gonna be the fans that buy this, and we already have TONS of G1 Prime reissues to choose from. Why not do something special? Just some simple, CHEAP changes to a classic mold that has already made Hasbro millions of dollars.

ew. i'm glad they didn't use the head from ipod convoy. that head looks ridiculous on this toy.

Well, just anything to make this mold special and worth buying again. A new box and a DVD of cartoons I already have, and a talking symbol just doesn't seem worth the $70.

I have to agree... it made the rest of the body look really old

not old, but really lame,

kind of like those repro irohide/ratchet heads that were announced last week

Not that I'm in need of another Prime/Convoy, but I do intend on grabbing this one as well. I could care less about the stacks, I have plenty of long stack Prime/Convoys. On the other hand, I do like the presentation though, neat little box, with some random extras.
