25th Anniversary Optimus Prime In-Package

...the Ipod head looks silly and out of place

True, but it was cool. I also agree though, doesn't really belong on a reissue of the toy, it just looks too modern for the 80s toy.

This looks very expensive. But very cool.

Between this and the Unicron reissue thread, we could saturate the earth with nerd tears.

oh how quickly we forget

Yeah, that new head is too good for G1 Prime's body.

Although that particular subject really is all Hasbro's fault, unlike the 'stacks which is a matter of toy safety laws.

What if they were made out of metal? Isn't the real safety issue supposed to about breakage rather than the length of the stacks?

1/ They should have used the Takara ipod head. Its better and "more G1" than the original (plus most of us have a re-released original Convoy/Optimus so a new head would be a bigger incentive).

2/ It doesnt say that the shield has a voice box built in on the pics of the box (can it be confirmed?).

3/ What is on the DVD? Just a G1 Episode?

4/ What comic is it?

Personally, the Japanese "Hybrid" Prime and the New years boxed set was good enough for me.

The voice box is the shield, the DVD is More Than Meets The Eye, and the comic is a reissue of Marvel #1.
