Does anyone ACTUALLY play with their TF's???

Recommended Posts

Some of the older rarer ones, are for display, but yeah, my guys fight it out all the time with ongoing stories.

If you wanna collect something to just look at, get some oil paintings.

I'm 33 years old, have 2.5 active display rooms.

Not really. Well kind of I guess, if you count tranforming then everyonce in a while and then placing them back on the shelf.

IMO that doesn't count. :P

They have to be played with a la Spaceballs style for it to count:

i used to when I was in college. But after getting a full time job and other hobbies, playing with and collecting TFs kinda took a back seat.

You know, color, canvas, and a brush. The was a white guy with a killer 'fro that use to do them on TV. I use to make them all the time before I realized Transformers where on the shelves again.

The guy wth the afro that used to paint was called Bob Ross. He developed a certain style of oil painting. I think my mother once went on a "Bob Ross oil painting course" when she worked in an art shop in the UK

:luv to Bob Ross and his cute little shrubberies

I was always waiting for a squirrel or a bird to climb out of his head... I had to wait til after his death and a Family Guy parody for that moment...

Sadly I have found I no longer have he ability. My brain works faster than my hands and any story would be played out long before. It's actually a pitiable irony, as I now have access to the complete G1 collection that I wanted as a kid. I was probably around 15 or so when I found I had lost the knack for it.

I did get good use out of my Star Wars figs. Being born in '81, they were already pretty much vintage and used when I started collecting them at around 10ys old, and I managed to complete the set, including all of the freaking expensive POTF figs over about three years, so even though some of these toys at the time cost me between $50 and $100, I still got to appreciate and play with these toys. I had made my plastic caped jawa and Amanaman into bounty hunters and Yak Face was some sort of diplomat.

IMO that doesn't count. :P
