Does anyone ACTUALLY play with their TF's???

Recommended Posts

I play with mine. Though if any of you think I'm going to have Sideburn chase after "cute red sportscars", you are sadly mistaken. As of recently, I had Animated Starscream try to live up to what the box says his weapons can do ("Starscream uses twin sonic shock blasters powerful enough to pulverize a tank!"). Right now, the score is: Leader Brawl 5; Animated Starscream 0, and 'Screamer gets a free shot! :tflaugh

Nice Battle!!!

Well, as for me, I keep rare and stuff I really just got in the box and open all the others. When I do open (for TFs) and look at one mode and just play around with it then transform it and look at the other mode. I don't "play" with them anymore like an action figure game.

Come to think of it, I really don't play with them. I pose them and tranform them, but no real bot-on-bot fighting/stories. Modding is what I do in place of playing. I analyze the designs, the movement of the parts, and make improvements accordingly.

I wish I could play, but the weight of the world has crushed my childlike spirit. *goes to find hug*

Tell me bout it. Believe it or not thats a major reason why I'm a collector. Makes me feel better and entertains me in troubled times a lot when no ones on my side.

I'm with you two. There are days when the real world is stressful (namely when my boss is being a douche and treating my like crap), I come home to my collection and I feel content. I have some people in my life that think it's a waste of money, but I disagree. At least the truly important people in my life, while still having reservations about the quantity, accept that it's a part of who I and live with it. I'll admit, there's a great deal of self control that's involved, but it's not easy, especially with all the cool stuff coming out in the next few months along with this summer. But thankfully, that's what work is for :tfdance :cjdance

I guess I'm the freak here ...

... I pose and transform them regularly, nothing more.

AND nothing more when I was young too !!!

I just sat there, transformed them, and built some of my own with Lego, paper and whatever I found.

Sadly I do not have enought time to do so now ... now that I would be able to make them as they should be, worthy to be postet here ;)

I am only interested in the technical details, and I love them =D

What consists of "playing" with mine now is essentialy posing/transforming them and occasionally doing something silly like setting up a battle and taking pictures comic style for fun while posting "reviews" of figs I rather like. I couldn't really seriously sprawl them out and wage wars with them like i used to for hours as a kid.

That said, when I'm around my buddy's kid (he's 7 and *LOVES* TFs, probably has a good hundred of so of them himself), and he tries to get his father and I to play with him, I ususally oblige. :lol

*Raises Hand* Totally Do, My old Cheator Transmetal guy, His left hand has broken off, the latch over his leg thing is long gone, His missle are MIA and his tail hasnt been seen in a good 2 years. HE is awsome. Sadly Dinobot Transmetal did not survive... He is in about a billion pieces or something, every now and then his arm is used as a club by someone.

Im part of the Buy a toy, Rip box open and have it punch another toy as your driving back from the store, This is very bad when you drive a stick shift :P BUT IT MUST BE DONE

Some of the older rarer ones, are for display, but yeah, my guys fight it out all the time with ongoing stories.

If you wanna collect something to just look at, get some oil paintings.

I'm 33 years old, have 2.5 active display rooms.

I'm the sort of person who likes to tear em open in the car too, normally losing missiles down the side of the chair :lol

As for actually playing with them. I guess I do sometimes, I don't sit there and shout out everything that the character's saying but I TF them then sort of mess about with them to see how posable they are.

Then they normally end up on one of my shelves and get re-transformed every now and again.
