Why G1 was So Great

Recommended Posts

I like G1 as it is the show that i grew up with as a kid, i feel the same about He Man. These shows were just basically to support the toy line nothing more. I love the show and have the DVD's and love to rewatch them to get that feeling i did when i was 7 years old. Energon is the same it is there to support the toys nothing more. I like the G1 movie more than any of the tv shows but thats just me.

Arrogance will get you no where Bodycount. People are allowed their opinions, even if they differ from yours.

So why dont your grow up and try keeping some of your arrogance to yourself for once instead of making all of us sit here and listen to it.

Now on Topic, G1 was great because it was first, it had its flaws in both the toys and the cartoon, many flaws which are still present in transformers of today and the cartoons that represent them.

For instance, many g1 transformer toys were bricks, some of the new transformer toys are bricks as well, ie A. Scavenger, E. WingSaber.

The G1 cartoon had multiple problems with consistancy color, and voice overs. Which are still present in Energon, and Armada. Armada was riddled with screw ups on names.

So just look at it in this light, Bodycount you especially, the more things change the more they stay the same. We have less transformers that are bricks, but the trend is still there. And the cartoon while has evolved into better animation, the same problems still arise.

So lay off the G1 enthusiasts, they are apart of the Transfans community just as much as you are.

In one of it's most illogical moments, G1 had an episode where the Autobots got from the Pacific northwest to central Africa in less than an hour.  This is still not as stupid as any episode of Armada.

I think it's hilarious that G1 totally insults every bit of human logic that exists, but you think it's amazing..just show's how un intelligent and easily impressed you are, and that goes for all of you in this post who are trying to oppose me. Give it a rest guys, the moment you step up to me, you lose before you can even try to make a point.

How often do I yet have to bring up the Ford T analogy?

Those were no screwups of the cartoon per se but of the American dub.

Nevermore's analogy is great :thumb

BTW Everyone please try and refrain from flamming/bashing of posters. This is understandably a heated debate but lets try and keep comments directed more at statements than the person themselves

Well since I am an American, my views are based on the American version, and you are right the American version did have screw ups in the dub, of which I am refering to. Also the colors in the first episode were off for the seekers.

And as for the Ford T analogy, whatever, in america, it was gobots, then transformers, and when I was refering to transformers being first and why it is great is because it started the whole damned thing. Without it, there would be no transformers today.

I guess next time I have to make sure in my post to identify the country i am in, so as to make sure people understand the reasons for my comments.

Geez.

Ah, but the Ford T is considered a classic is it not? Likewise, so is G1.

:tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh That's funny. Remeber when they were on surf boards? Prime: "Autobots, maintain speed and sail on!" :tflaugh

Wow, I really had to scroll through a lot of crap. You guys should do what I do now, ignore Bodycounts rants and scroll on past. One of the last posts I read from the guy said" I'm a Transformer collector, not a critic" After all his bashing, wouldn't that statement make him a liar? Something I have never done was go into a thread about how other TF shows were best and try to start something. Their opinion is their own and I can respect that as others should.
