bodycount is right, therevolutionishere is indeed a virus; a virus of pure hatred that transformer fans should avoid. in the topic he started, he claims that it's ok for him to be a G1 fan first and a Transformer fan second. wtf is up with that? he must've been smoking crack when he wrote that statement. i'm not trying to create any more angry flames, but it's impossible to be a G1 fan first, I.M.O. you'll need to be a transformer fan first before being more focused on a particular generation. and while G1 is still great, it's time to move on to better and future generations. i pity therevolutionishere for being so narrow-minded, and i'm sure that if G1 Optimus Prime was real (sadly, he's not), he would agree with me.

 

btw, you're a true transfomer fan, bodycount, since you've taken interest in not just G1 toys, but other toylines as well.

Some day you guys will realize i'm just fighting for the right for ALL Transformers series to have a right to exist, in the first place....=P

There are some great poeple on this forum, but they're all hindered by these "Geewun rulz!" guys...its getting to where we can't even discuss what we like without one of them popping up and slamming us for liking the new stuff....I realize I don't hate G1, I just won't put up with their purist followers.

Listen carefully, all of you. Just because somebody on the internet doesn't like something doesn't mean you can't like it. And it works the same in reverse. If you don't like something, don't expect everyone to have the same opinion.

 

And you know what? That nostalgia argument really doesn't work. Ever think that maybe people prefer the older TF's for reasons other than because that's what they grew up with? Didn't think so.

 

And now back to our regularly scheduled G1-fan bashing ...

ahem... i'm gonna have to agree with bodycount on this one... after all, we don't want to discuss our favourite toys only to have someone who hates that series to completely criticise it for just being around.

 

and as you can tell from my earlier posts, i don't hate G1; i like the series mainly because it introduced the Transformers. i'm even ok with G1 purists, on the condition that they recognize the existance of other Transformer series; they don't have to like 'em, but to at least accept their existance. just stay well clear of people like therevolutionishere.

Well, I don't know the source very well and I am not sure how much I agree with their choices.

 

But don't forget hardcore fans aren't the only ones G1 or any other TF line is supposed to appeal to.

I have also been recording the shows and it has progressively gotten better I have to admit. Although I thought it was total crap when Rodimus and Megs faced off. Megs should have wasted him!
