TFans' Official 'Transformers Movie' Thread

Recommended Posts

Hey, I like Air & Tortoise! Interesting choices. Particle would be awesome for instrumentals though. They have a little bit more of a rock sound w/o sounding metal.

Listen to Sigur Ros. They can be ethereal and spacy, but also be ultra heavy without the rock or metal.

Is stupid and didn't see this thread

Points to my post about having Optimus Prime (the person in the movie)

Optimus Prime the person in the movie?

Jazz should listen to ska music, it just simply makes sense that he would listen to two tone

:wtf...it does? :tftongue

Jazz would probably be pumping hip hop, with strong blues sampling...anything with a groove

don't agree about hip hop i see jazz as listening to alternative music such as scar or rock.

as long as he doesn't listen to trance we'll be fine :thumb

Storm you mean "ska!"

yeah thats what i meant, quick typer so sometimes i put in extra letters by mistake. no rap should be in the movie, we want rock but not metal and notthing like mcfly or busted. we want some rock talent.

:roll

I'm not against rock being the main focus of the non-orchestral music, but there is no reason to say that there should be NO hiphop in the movie at all. It doesn't even have to be real songs.

If Jazz were to pull up next to you at a stoplight with his system pounding so loud that his windows and trunk were rattling, what do you really think he'd have on?

Judging by his own character (and not my own musical tastes), I hear some deep bass with a low scat-style, rap riding its wave. Maybe even some deep bass, with some slow relaxed rasta rap underneath.

Hell, maybe even a hybrid style of music like Black-Eyed Pees. But I just couldn't imagine Jazz listening to Ska.

Maybe I'm really not understanding, though. Are you saying you think that they should use Ska because that is what fits Jazz's character, or because that's what you'd want him to be listening to?

Shockwave(or whatever they can call him)

Shockblast would be the name

Are we talkin' people in costume live-action? :tdown

(UGH)

well, it just kinda suits jazz's personallity. but now i think about it he would be pretty open to what he listens to

Don, If your still reading this, please listen to me: I belive that the most important detail in the begining of the movie is the opening credit's music. It should definetly be original orcistrated. It should be something like Starwars+Final Fantasy VII+Transformers the game with heavy focus on making it sound epic yet upbeat or adventureous. Like the first train scene from Final Fantasy VII but watered down just a smidgon and set to a(n original) Transformers theme. The opening music has to really send a tingle down everybody's spines. I realy recommend orcastrated music throughout the movie and leave the pop music for the closing credits. Sorry but noone wants another "The Touch" fiasco again. not to sound or mean threatening but if the sound track sucks, we're going to gripe about it for a LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGG time.Centuries perhaps. The music has to be memorible not popular(you know what I mean). I can remember notes from final fantasy and I haven't played that for years. Everyone can remember the opening music from Starwars. This movie has got to have a Kick-ass sound track. It's what will make people remember it for years to come.

Meshuggah would make a badass soundtrack. or Fear Factory.

and my favorite song off the old soundtrack was "Instruments of Destruction" \m/
