If you read this: I got another suggestion for you who to hire as an advisor alongside Furman, if you haven't done that already:

 

Hirofumi Ichikawa.

He's a Japanese fan-turned-pro who does some design work for Takara (Wing Saber, for example), and he also wrote some official stories. The Japanese "Linkage" manga (companion to the Japanese "Micron Densetsu"/"Armada" DVDs) was written by him, and so was the official "Binaltech" background story.

 

What's especially important here is that while Ichikawa-san is in fact a Japanese, he's also a HUGE fan of western storytelling and the western TF mythos (imagine "Linkage" as a manga that tries to imitate the style of American comics, and the "Binaltech" story also massively plunders the US G1 cartoon for obscure references).

 

If you want someone who can give you somewhat of a Japanese perspective, while still aiming for a more "Western" approach, get Ichikawa-san. :thumb

 

Oh, and you might want to hire Bob Forward and Larry DiTillo as well. I know you don't like the "Beast Wars", but aside from the concept which really takes some time getting used to, the stories themselves put the entire G1 cartoon to shame (except, maybe, for "Dark Awakening"). :clap

Often wondered if It would be a techno rehash of the transformers theme of something new like say , beyonce or dave matthews ... kiddin... But seriously, i know everyone here is bashing the 80's metal, but who on here can also say that,. like myself, when they pop in the soundtrack, they sorta get goosbumps when they here the theme, and can picture what scene is going on when they are listening to the song ... play dare, see daniel hot that frickin big rock, play instrunts of destruction , see brawn get shot, then prowl, etc...
