Soundwave was basically a division between Blackout and Freny.

 

If Soundwave is added in TF2 I think the writers should cross him over with Shockwave for an original character and have him be global defense satallite.

 

I personally believe Frenzy is as close to G1 Soundwave as the movie will get.

 

Bay has already stated that mass conversion/shrinking doesn't make sense from a live action perspective. Parts/pieces don't shrink/grow large but need to be able to believably fit within the space of a vehicle/robot. I'm glad at least 95% of us get it why gun megatron tape deck Soundwave won't work in a live action setting.

 

I wouldn't at all be surprised if we see more characters like Frenzy in the second movie. In the commentary Bay said he could see more real gear type of characters being developed for a sequel in the style/concept of the Nokia bot.

I'll say it again....F-117 stealth fighter/bomber.

Take the concept for Cybertron Soundwave and give him G1 Soundwave's personality.

IMO it's the best possible solution, considering Bay said he wanted most Decepticons to take the form of a military vehicles.

Couldn't agree more! As much as I love G1 cassetman, it isn't modern enough for the movie-verse. Cassetman will always have a special place in my heart (MP Soundwave Please!!!), but for the movies Soundwave needs to be large and dangerous.

Look, we both know I know why you want that, but who cares if he gets his G1-Homage-Filled Head and Starscream didn't? Other than you, I mean. They went with NEW and CHANGED on SS. They might not want to do that with Soundwave, cause maybe Bay or the Producers or Spielberg or the Designers prefers Soundwave looking Soundwave-ish. There are a ton of reasons to keep him a Soundwave Homage in his head and/or body design. Then again he might look nothing like Soundwave, might look like Shockwave on crack, who knows?

 

I just think you need to not worry with it, it doesn't matter at this point who they want ot give super-homages/throwbacks too anymore.

The Soundwave in that 'leaked treatment' for TF2 sounded kind of like a cross between Soundwave and Shockwave.

How about a Pave Low helicopter? It could be slate blue, with black robot bits. Missiles would be over both shoulders, and his face would look VAGUELY like the decepticon symbol. He'd have yellow lined windows in chopper mode, and he'd launch an animal minion to chase down some humans during the course of the film.
