I personally give it 85%

Given that it's an action movie with fantastic visual effects and a fair, easy to follow plot... for the genre, I'd say it's quite a good movie. If you're putting it up against "A Beautiful Mind," you're going to get a different reaction.

If people would see that it's a action movie, I don't see why it wouldn't get in the high-80s, possible 90%.

But critics are more interested in things like acting and logic and a well-written script than a bunch of cartoon robots blowing each other up to the hijinks of Bernie Mac and Shia Laboof. I'm going to go rotten, but not Fantastic Four rotten. Probably more like Shrek 3 rotten... somewhere in the 40-50% range.

I know there will be at least one bad review coming and that will be from the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The guy basically insulted anyone that remotely thought of seeing this movie and enjoying it. Unless he's changed his mind in the last month. I doubt that though.

Not that I care about critic reviews. I think all of them are full of it since any average person can give a review about movie, good, bad, or neutral.

Movie critics are average people... who have an in-depth knowledge of the medium, the ability to perform critical analysis, and can string more than two thoughts together coherently. They also don't suffer from "I really wanted to like this movie, so I'm going to review it better than it deserves" syndrome. That drives me nuts.

So far, everything sounds good.

I only trust one movie reviewer: me

Bear in mind that a lot of critics suffer from film snobbery and are afraid to say an action or comedy film was enjoyable for fear of not looking refined.

The users have been kind. They have so far given it 76%.

The only negative review I found was from a guy who openly states that he has not seen the movie. People who review films despite not having seen them should be cast out.

The users have been kind.

I would hope it's not because they've just been kind to it, but genuinely enjoyed the film. I would hate to hear later on that some gave it an okay review even though it's not a good movie.
