Well IMDB has rounded up reviews of the biggest critics in America (as they do) and they all loved it!

That's a decent review. :thumb

Optimus Prime's (John Cullen) blah blah blah

When you can't get the actor's name right in a "legitimate" review, I no longer have respect for you. I give this review NO STARS.

See, the thing that bothers me about the negative reviews is that the authors didn't even give it a chance:

And now, it is time to look at Transformers ... yet I have this weird feeling like this trio of movies hold some unusually significant significance this summer. I have little critical respect for the two big action movies.
and

Transformers is based on a line of Hasbro toys! Hollywood has officially run out of stories. Next up, Michael Bay is going to direct a screenplay based on a box of cereal.

I've met people like this before. They just think everything is lame. And wow, you don't like action films, and you already hate this one before you've even seen it, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU REVIEWING IT?

None of these guys went in with an open mind. They were ready to hate it. It's like come on, you really were expecting this to be Brokeback Mountain or something? pfffffft.

See, a good critic review will look at things objectively. These guys don't.

I read the LA Times, the Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, and Roger Ebert reviews and they are all MUCH BETTER than most of those other reviews listed. These reviews are also split 50-50. They don't blast Bay OR the concept like some of those other reviewers. One thing they all seem to agree on is that it's too long.

I know there will be at least one bad review coming and that will be from the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The guy basically insulted anyone that remotely thought of seeing this movie and enjoying it. Unless he's changed his mind in the last month. I doubt that though.

Not that I care about critic reviews. I think all of them are full of it since any average person can give a review about movie, good, bad, or neutral.

Well, the Minneapolis Star Tribune movie reviewer LOVED the movie and gave it 4 Stars! I have to say I'm impressed by this, after those comments I heard I thought he'd have written a negative review.

Ahhhh! 59% We just went Rotten!

User reviews still going strong with an 84% and, oddly, the Cream of the Crop is still Fresh with a 72%!

Back to 60%, we're Fresh again. I'm dropping us to Tomato alert level Orange.

But be ready, we could go Rotten again at any time!

Seriously, What the Powerglide? Some of these people are treating this like this Summers Battlefield Earth in ineptitude. Just saw it & though I know my opinion matters little I know how to at least be critically objective. Any critic stupid enough to expect much of a plot from any Micheal Bay are sure to be sorely disappointed. What are they expecting out of this anyway it's a Summer movie with no other objective to be fun. Personally I thought plotwise the film stood up as a whole a lot better than anything Robert Emerich has directed. Though on the level of Armagedeon regarding scripting it's still a hell of a lot better/entertaining.

The movie does have its flaws & just as all the other Summer movies I didn't really find a difinitive moment in the final sequence that would outlast many other movies. I agree with that aspect & that's an objective criticism but what isn't is just somebody ranting on & on about how Transformers is only meant to entertain on the level of an 80s fanboy/11 year old kid who still plays with toys. Jebus how Powerglideing close minded can you be to not see that as a movie this goes so much further than just cutting & pasting toys on the screen & having them scream buy me at the audience. :roll Jurassic Park probably would have been given the same reception if it had been based on a toyline beforehand as would Independance Day. A lot of critics need to learn to objectively hate something opposed to simply hating it for the sake of it being a franchise tie in or action movie.

I do think the length is the main thing preventing this from getting reviewed any better.
