First Look @ 'Animated' Optimus Prime; New Info On Show

As long as it's on at a reasonable time, I'll give it a shot.

This is Cartoon Network we're talking about here. No matter how good it is, it will get a bad timeslot. After all, Cybertron's been keeping that fuzzy four in the morning slot open for months now...

Why does he have such a Long Droopy face (EXACTLY!! I knew I had seen that face before...DROOPY DOG!)?! Also I thought he was supposed to be a firetruck? As far as the cell animation, I'm glad they are going that direction. Only I really can't stand most of those stylized shows like Teen Titans etc. Now I did like the Batman and Superman series that started this look but it's kinda gone down hill since them.

I don't know. I'll give it a few episodes, like I did with all the other shows. Unfortunately I havn't been able to make it past like the 3rd episode since Beast Machines. I been trying to give Cybertron one more go but I still just can't watch it. The Dialogue and story is SOOOOOOOOOooooooo bad...IMO. I do like a few of the figs though (I only ever bought Landmine, Vector Prime and Primus. Would still like to get a Scourge but that's it). I'll be very interested to see how they do the figs for this show. Since the show is geared to a younger crowd I hope they don't gear the toys that way.

Voice cast so far sounds good, but that image is hideous. However I'm going to wait till we see actual promo clips of it in motion before I really judge, they do tend to pic the worst possible images for teaser pics I've noticed.

With Cartoon Network co producing this one it will probably at least have a decent time slot, and if we are lucky with it being done by an American company for an American Audience we shouldn't have the same story issues do to dubbing that we have with the Unicron shows. I jsut really hope the animation looks alot better in motion, because no matter how good the voice acting of the story is if the show looks that bad It jsut going to be painful to watch.

actually he reminds me of buzz lightyear's enemy from toy story.

I really don't think that AEC was good enough to deserve a decent time slot.

Wait...2008?

Good Lord, do I ever not want to endure another year of fanboys going :emo, :slap, :epic, :danmit, and :argue.

Especially when, come this time next year, you'll all be uncontrollably salivating for the premiere of this show.

i think stylized animation work for the most part..............on human figures, that is. i have yet to see a good example on inanimate objects and robots, and i would love to see how they would transform prime in a satisfactory manner in animation

As long as it's on at a reasonable time, I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, for a show they couldn't care less about. They're going to hype "Animated," no question. They're invested in the show's success. (You'll see just how much of a red-headed stepchild Cybertron was to CN when this show starts being publicized.)

My first reaction to that picture of Optimus was --> :lol because I knew right away that this was going to cause a shitstorm on the internets. As for my personal opinion.... I honestly don't care. I'm not the target audience for this show. I have no more of an opinion on this than I do for Ben Ten or Yin Yang Yo or Code Lyoko or whatever other cartoons there are. I mean, I can say "hey that looks kinda original" but ultimately I'm like "eh" because I'm not six years old. I have other things to be interested in.

I mean, it's a friggin' cartoon, people. What hole in your lives are you expecting this to fill?

And you know it's going to be ANOTHER year of "OMG I HATE THIS UNTIL I LOVE IT" like what happened with the movie TFs.
