First Look @ 'Animated' Optimus Prime; New Info On Show

Recommended Posts

Well it did get better. I recently saw the first episode again. Which looked horrible.

-Edit- Disney cartoons have beautifull animation and really crap stories. I think stories are the most important factor overall.

Looked horrid - still great cartoons though. (I watched series 1 last week BTW!)

I just want to say that South Park is probably one of the most entertaining cartoons ever. Must be the amazing animation...

But the adult dialogue helps alot. I seriosly doubt Prime will be saying " Sonnava Starscream!" at a saturday morning toon. With southpark one looks past the animation due the dialogue. With TF's it is usually the visual action that should atttracts the viewers, followed by a story as to why the action is taking place.

Okay then. The Simpsons was hardly "cutting edge" animation. Or Ren & Stimpy.

I think I need to concede that comedy is probably what makes these crappy looking cartoons good. (If something ain't funny then I don't watch it!) I'm sure there are others with "stories" & "emotions" & all that lame stuff... I just can't think of any examples. :redface

I think you see what I'm saying though: Looks ain't everything!

*almost an edit*

How about games as a better example? Street Fighter >>> Mortal Kombat (DON'T bother disputing that people!)

:tflaugh you don't really want me to answer that.

I won't dispute it.

*Played MKII on Megadrive until eyeballs and fingers bled*

Looks aren't everything. *Insert Disney example again*, but it's a mixture of things.

As for the Ren and Stimpy thing- That was a pretty influential 'toon, the style was new for the time and we can always measure succes by the amount of rip-offs. (Cow and chicken and to a lessser extent I.M. Weasel. to name a few.)

Which reminds me. I want a Log.
