Let me bring the trend back. My Wife even says "WTF?!" to this pic.

WTF indeed. I just grew up. No more Toons for me thank you.

Prime is butt ugly

Wow. That's loathsome. I might just have to join in on the nerd rage this time, climb to the highest peak of the tallest blog, and scream "CRAAAAAAAAP". It's sad when the last semi-serious outing in this franchise was the almost forgotten beast machines. Somebody give Furman a rifle and a rooftop and maybe we can stop this before it gets going, loot the Cartoon Network studios and finance a War Within series.

It's just that now that I've grown accustomed to the hyper-realistic movie style, it's going as far in the opposite direction as can be done. I guess we did it to ourselves with years of people complaining about the AEC cartoons( even though the complaints were more about story than style, IMO ).

I wonder how the toys for this are going to work. Based on this initial "teaser" art, I'm guessing they will either look nothing like their animated counterparts or be shellformers that just have car armor bits glued on here and there (yes, like RID Prowl :tftongue).

Either that or they will be made of some hitherto unknown plastic that can bend like silly putty into... Whatever that is supposed to be.

But hey folks, it looks nothing like the movie aesthetic, AND it's done by an American studio. Therefore it must be good. Right? :tfevil

You got that right. Story only. But as far as style, I could watch the Cybertron robots transform all day.

Well, story carries a show, not style, so I'll give it a chance.

JUST ONE CHANCE!

I'm sure my little girl will like it. Or maybe not, she's a big BW fan, so this may be too low-brow for her. She is seven, after all...
