Movie Megatron?

Recommended Posts

Looks pretty cool to me. I guess they really want the Decepticons to look alien. Well, I am not going to go nuts, if he is an evil character in the film, I won't complain. I do get a Beast Machines vibe from this guy's face.

I know half the fandom probably lost their minds and got mad. Look people, this isn't the end of the world, it seems they are really going for a new beginning on our beloved TFs. Give a chance guys, give it a chance.

Did you actually read what I posted? What does the G1 cartoon have to do with Hollywood's obsession with endoskeletal robotic designs? I may be in the minority, but does noone else think a robotic life form wouldn't have found a way to cover exposed wires and hydraulics from damage after fighting each other for millions of years. I just think they have a "man made mecha" look to them.

Agreed.

*doesn't agree* You guys just want to Starscream about stuff that isn't even the final product and I think it's comical.

And you just want to bash people who don't agree with you. A discussion of the style they are using is far from "Starscreaming." But keep adding those insightful one liners.

Could be worse. He could have a Night Viper shaped tongue and he could be chasing underaged girls. :tflaugh

Nah. You have no clue about me. But keep adding those clueless accusations.

Is there some new Guyver movie that's being made? Because I think this "Megatron" might have been stolen from that movie's design team.

that was my 1st reaction :tfevil :tdown

evil member of Decepticon Army - sure

Megatron - no

and for the record

i never'd considered RID Megatron, well Megatron

1st and formost he's Gigatron * Devil Gigatron at best

Well thats certainly your right. I think we're "Starscreaming" because we have a valid point but to each his/her own.

What point though? That you guys are only G1 fans, because that's the only point I'm seeing made?

Just because some of us don't like TFormers becomming a new generation of bionical doesn't make us G1 fans. I guess if they made Megatron a pink dishwasher you would think it was great because it was "change."

Do you need to strip away your skin in order to know that you have muscle tissue, veins, tendons, and bones underneath it?

organic lifeforms and mechanical robots are apples and oranges, Mike. one is naturally occuring, the other has to be built from inorganic materials.

What I mean is that I don't think the general public would care about seeing the parts. Once again, I didn't expect these Transformers to be all blocky, but I had expected a realistic approach to the traditional designs. All of the movie designs could stand to have some metal skin, just to give them a clean look. It would have made ILM's job easier as well.

Well, that's what you get for guessing. I'm not saying that it didn't shock me. I'm just not going to say I hate it simply because it doesn't look like my G1 Megatron. Try not to misread.

I understand what your saying, but your limiting your "realistic" viewpoint to what can be created by man.

just like the average movie-goer whom the movie is aimed at. if they're forced to suspend their belief too much, they don't take the movie seriously and think that it's a big joke.

Holy Crap! That's nothing like the cartoon! I'm outraged!

I know Man, this Movie's going to blow harder than Turtles in Time

How many of us here would actually prefer this "re-imagining" over the tried-and-true classic appeal brought to life on screen? I'm curious.

Because, yeah, when I heard that a live-action Transformers was being made, I immediately conjured up beautiful rendered versions of the iconic 80's cartoon.....

I don't recall ever hearing anybody decree that the 'Formers were in desperate need of "alien-izing"...or should I say "alienation"?
