The only thing I don't like so far is Starscream's head. Otherwise, these are are very cool and interesting looking! :thumb

Hello, Transtech.

I want to know how many of the people here saying "KEWL!!" were Starscreaming about the Energon combiners not having real hands and feet.

That being said...

Prime's repetitive transformation schemes have gotten old fast, so this is refreshing. If they can pull that off in a toy, I'll be quite impressed. And he's a longnose truck too, w00t.

IF that's a toy Scorpy, that'd rock. I don't care what the bot mode looks like.

Blackout is kibbletastic, but it'd be an okay mode if the head were positioned better. That's an intricate transformation that points and laughs at Evac...

But what the HELL is up with Starscream? Forget whether it's Starscream or not, it's just a fugly robot, period. And what's with the digitigrade legs?

I suppose if it were a different seeker I could live with it, maybe Thrust since it somehow makes me think of the Armada mold... but there is nothing about that which says scheming second-in-command. It says more like "Braaaains, I need brains for master!"

Then again, given how bad Bumblebee's screenshot looked, I'm not looking forward to the rest of the cars.

These Transformers will be easy to take down. They can call in G.I. Joe and they just have to be armed with a bunch of pipebombs. They can stick the pipebombs between the wires of the Transformer's waists and blast them in half. Then it's just a matter of taking them to the wrecking yard and putting them in the metal crusher.

you know maybe the easyist way to solve this screamer hate is to change his name to some lesser known jet TF or somthing new all together then just bring in screamer in the 2nd flick

Nope. Changing the name to a different seeker = people complaining that a character that looks nearly identical to Starscream looks like this. ;-)

I almost wonder if people are complaining because they associate big, lumbering TF's with slower guys, ala crumplezone.. whereas Starscream has this almost lanky appearnce whenever I've seen him, making him look more like the intellegent type (or the weasel type).

I think he's just plain ugly, the ugliest among other ugly designs, regardless of what character he is.

... that made no sence. this guy looks nothing like screamers past bodys so how can they say " eople complaining that a character that looks nearly identical to Starscream looks like this. ;-)"

screamers just not a good design simple as that now if they changed his name at least we could have a cooler one better on.

oh and they did it to sound wave whos now called frenzy so its possible

Like I said earlier, I like most of the new models. I would even like the new version of SS if it wasn't him.

it isn't G1 Screamer. for all intents and purposes, it is a new character who has the same name. this movie is in no way connected with the G1 continuity. it's not like they took G1 Screamer and radically reimagined him, they simply created a new version from scratch and gave him the same name. seriously, all of you are acting like every tf with the same name, regardless of continuity, are all the same character.

But, largely, it IS. According to what's been said so far he's a back-stabber, he wants to be leader, constantly in conflict with Megatron etc. etc. Guess what? THAT'S G1 Starscream. A/E/C was pretty damn close to the original too, closer in A/C than in Energon, but still recognizable to some degree as Starscream (especially in Cybertron). They're using the name, they're using the personality of the character, and they're putting it all in a completely unrecognizable body. Now if they called him Jetstorm and tweaked that personality a bit I'd be perfectly fine with him. But physically he's not Starscream. AT ALL. Again, would you accept someone other than Harrison Ford, say maybe David Schwimmer as Han Solo? Somehow I doubt it. And as for your whole "So why can't you be happy with those and classic-screamer, AND MP-screamer, and leave the movie to us folks who are sick to death of G1 and actually want something new?" BS argument, I wouldn't mind if this were to be just a new cartoon like A/E/C. But this is The Movie. If there was ever a time to build on what came before and stick with what works this is it. Every time studios mess with the formula that made something successful to begin with it backfires. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Tank Girl. The Final Fantasy movie that had nothing to do with Final Fantasy. The reason these franchises are popular enough to warrant even making a goddamn movie is because of people like me, who were brought up on the original. The Japanese understand this. That's why there's a dozen continuations and clones of Gundam, Macross, and yes, even Transformers--the last 3 series are ALL G1 BASED, with RECOGNIZABLE G1-STYLE CHARACTERS. If it ain't broke don't fix it, especially not when you're doing something this big. If you want to make it all freaky-wonky then CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE.

I like all of em. Even starsceam. And I'm really hoping we get some different toy versions of each character.
