MP-03 Starscream Remold

Recommended Posts

Think I'd have to go with the original version being my favourite out of the two. He definitely bore closer resemblence to the cartoon version, which is what I thought the point of the MP line was. The waist kibble slender legs version just doesn't look right to me. I'd rather have the first version.

BTW, did anyone else spot that the forearms are wider on the mkII, possibly due to some kibble not on the mkI?

Yep.

The arm kibble as well what looks like a jousting stick split and stuck on either side of his body create strike eagle fast packs.

I'm still hoping they're as removable as the real things, but I'm doubtful.

I don't know I think there are point from both model that I like.  at this point it's still a little early right?  there is still another 3 month til this guy hit the shelf~

I just hope that someone w/ some influence is readings these TFs boards and takes our comments seriously.

I really hope that they get this figure right.

I am not a huge Starscream fan, but I would have considered laying out the $60 for an American version of the original.  When I saw it, I was struck by how similar it looked to the 20th Prime.  With these new changes, it looks:

1.  Less like the cartoon version

2.  Less like the original G1 toy

3.  More like a Gundam

I see all three of these as negative.  Really the only good thing about the redesign is the improved jet mode.  But seriously, does anyone leave their MP Prime in truck mode for long?  It and MP-03 are obviously meant to be in ROBOT mode, not alt form.  I don't see  why we are losing "looks" in robot mode to improve alt form.  As others have said, by a model jet.

Classics Screamer for teh win!!1!!

You think it's BAD that it doesn't look like the G1 toy???

I love this figure, changes and all. With some luck, maybe the first version will get used in some form or another. *Hopes for alts.........Even though the new version does fit the authentic vehicle MO better*

there was a pretty heated debate over this guy when those last pics came up. the mold was altered, the colors not exactly matching, ect. and in the beggining i right there with the naysayers. but after i thought about it for a while, how can you see anything negative in that amazing figure? so its not exactly the way you wanted it (beleive me id still like to see the first mold done in the g1 colors), youll live and so will i.

one of the reasons i was able to get over this so easily, is this:

my point is, this is a golden age for screamer. lets face it, mps are not playable. they just sit there and look beautiful. however classics ss is deffinetly playable. and a better size for it. so dont fret. starscream isnt.
