MP-03 Starscream Remold

Recommended Posts

there was a pretty heated debate over this guy when those last pics came up. the mold was altered, the colors not exactly matching, ect. and in the beggining i right there with the naysayers. but after i thought about it for a while, how can you see anything negative in that amazing figure? so its not exactly the way you wanted it (beleive me id still like to see the first mold done in the g1 colors), youll live and so will i.

one of the reasons i was able to get over this so easily, is this:

my point is, this is a golden age for screamer. lets face it, mps are not playable. they just sit there and look beautiful. however classics ss is deffinetly playable. and a better size for it. so dont fret. starscream isnt.

I felt the same way at the beginning. I'm totally with you on this one. MP Starscream is awesome for its ultimate detail, and Classics Screamer is awesome for it's ultimate GEEWUN-ness.

I like it, but there's not enough to convince me to pay over $100 for it. I don't really care that I can see the radar dish inside Starscream's nosecone. Now, Starscream doesn't have to be in complete G1 colors, but I do think that he should be a lighter gray and that the reds and blues should be richer.

Where are you guys getting these prices from?

Where are you getting your's from, it's like that everywhere. The lowest price, not counting HobbyLinkJapan, is a little less than $100. Once shipping costs are added, it becomes over a $100. Even a place like HLJ, which has if for about $86, would end up with a final cost over $100 once shipping is added.

FROMUNDA MY BALLS

hey I was just asking :tfgrin

Well, I play with my MP1. And I intend to play with my MP3 too. I don't buy them to collect the dust.

true enough. but they just have that seemigly delicate quality to them, and seeing the price i paid i dont want to break it. some toys, i just tf them every once and a while, pose them, stand them somewhere, thats enough play for me. its toys like classics ss that are 100% meant to be played with imo.

why do i make one of these "hey fandom, calm down. things are great" threads every couple months? youd think id have learned my lesson by now. its just with joshlowe, your nitpicking to the extreme. not that you really shouldnt, your entitled to. but cant you at least take solace in classics screamer? between the two of them, im a happy tfan.

I think you're totally right. Like I said, I don't care for MP Screamer, but I don't let it get me down. I honestly hope that everyone of the people looking forward to MP-3 get and enjoy him. Classics Screamer is awesome, too, and possibly the last Starscream I'll ever need, and that's puts a huge smile on my face. There's plenty of Seeker fun for everyone.

Of course, as my wife reminds me, I said Robotmaster Starscream was the last one I'd ever need...so what do I know? :tflaugh

I haven't even thought about buying the new BW stuff, they're not to my taste. I'm not gonna slag 'em off though!

MP Starscream? I'm sure I'll be pleased with the end result. :thumb

I'm really excited about Screamer as the mold is amazing and looks like has-tak-tomy is bleeding in Macross territory with heated fervor. Personally, I couldn't be happier. While could could pump my fist in the air angrily for a minor paint issue that does nothing to make me unable to instantly recognize the character, I feel that Shajaki not only raises an excellent point, but hits the nail on the head. There's a perfect, more fanboyish alternative if one really can't handle the pressures of a precious and "debated" artifact like MP-03.
