That's Poly version is a good color!  I didn't think of that!

 

I was hoping for perhaps Red/White stripes for BT and Blue with White stripes for Alt, but that would be cool.

I see some similarities with G1 Mirage in the head.

 

 

The vents on the side and the bulge at the top of the head are similar. I think the antenna and the less roundish shape throw people off. It looks more like an uptade rather than an exact copy which I like.

Okay. This confusion leads back to Alt. Meister, and is added onto by Autobot Skids.

 

The reasoning for Meister being called Meister was a.)Aaron Archer(IIRC) didn't like the Autobot/Decepticon *Insert Name Here* naming strategy. or b.)Another car company had a carline called Jazz.

 

Although, Autobot Skids kind of kills that "didn't like the Autobot/Deception" strategy theory...which leads me into Mirage. If Meister couldn't be called Jazz because of this other car company..how could Mirage be called Mirage with Mitsubishi's Mirage lineup?

That doesn't kill anything. These theories aren't mathematical laws, it could be people chose Meister instead of "Autobot Jazz" but still went with "Autobot Skids" because people are people and make different decisions that don't always follow 100% infallible logic.

 

Is it "Autobot Skids"? I hadn't noticed.

 

Besides that, Meister was an alternative to Autobot Jazz, what's an available alternative to "Autobot Skids"....??

It's the mainline they avoid the Autobot Whoever. Alt Hound is also Autobot Hound and there was an Autobot Ratchet in Universe.
