I like the custom alt Mirage that JAF sold on Ebay better, kinda wish i bought it now *sniff*

PS:  I kind of hope that Mirage gets the paint job honoring the LeMans wins.

Wouldn't those colors make a nice Excellion repaint? Hmmmm.

 

In a way, I hope that they stay true to Mirage's original paint job, but there's been such a profusion of blue and white Alternators that another part of me hopes for something else.

Mirage looks great, I can't wait to get it.

I hope the paint job hides some of the screws and rods.

 

But it looks pretty kick ass.

Man I can't wait for this Alt to come out! Like how he has two handguns. I can easily see this being my favorite Alt.

I just can't wait to see what it will look like in color. I was also thinking that the 'Con version could be Megatron. I'm not sure why, but it just gives me that vibe. Of course, we already know that Decepticharge has Megatron's head, so I don't know how that'll work out. :P

But bonnet = hood, boot = trunk. Crazy brits. :) I just like that the GT's unique hood evokes the shape of G1 Mirage's F1 nose.

Why couldn't they just make Alt Mirage just look more G1-ish like Jaf's?:

Jaf, I'm truly a fan of ur work, I wish you someday get a job working with Hasbro/Takara.  That would be the wisest thing the company could ever do!! :thumb 

It just occurred to me that the Ford GT mold has the potential to withstand quite a few recolors:

 

(1) Blue/White - G1 Mirage's traditional colors.

(2) LeMans Colors - G1 Mirage's traditional colors WERE just the colors of the actual racing car, so there's a logic to this since it's also the actual colors of the racing car like BT/Alt Smokescreen's WRC colors.

(3) Red/Orange/Yellow - The shape could easily double for Hot Rod with a headsculpt.

(4) Hot Shot Colors - Wouldn't even need to retool if there's a Hot Rod head sculpt.

(5) Yellow/Black - If people accept Mirage's evolution into this shape, then it could work for Drag Strip who was also an F1, which gives them more potential than a strict F1 mold would.  And it's probably preferable since a major auto manufacturer has more to gain from licensing/advertising than an F1 team.

(6) ??/?? - Ford may have its own favored color scheme for this model that fits none of the above and could insist on having a separate recolor for that alone like with the red Meister and yellow Tracks.

 

Of course, while these are all possibilities with merit, Hasbro isn't likely to do ALL of them without realizing that they'd look like tools.
