The E. Grim regular head looks almost like TWW Grim's head (obviously since it was designed by Don F.) but unfortunately its too small. The combiner head is the right size but doesn't look right. I'll probably end up using a modified Alt Grim head (need to carve the "teeth" on the sides of the mouth plate).

Sorry that didn't work out for you man. I'm sure any Un-modifacations well welcomed. Scratchbuilding looks like it's time consuming, but is it all that difficult? I've been wanting to try, but can't find any styrene in a 2 hour radius.

The 2 most challenging aspects of scratchbuilding is time and the transformation. You definitely need patiences, that's a given. But you also need to be able to make the transformation work so that it fits almost perfectly in either mode. Of course you need to figure out the transformation, but then you have to make the various parts fit together. Other than that though, its not as hard as it looks as long as you have the proper tools.

Looking great so far.

Little update for now.  I have most of the upper body done too, including the forearms, but I ran out of molding and casting material.  Hopefully will have the order by a week or so and can update the rest.  Don't mind the different shade of gray.  I dyed the pieces gray so it'll be more visible in the pics.  Added more gray to some pieces than others, lol.  But they will all be spray painted later anyways.

if your casting the peices, are you planning on seeling figures as well?? Or are you casting the peices just so they are more sturdy?
