The War Within Grimlock scratch build

Recommended Posts

Congratulations on winning at BotCon VP!  That WW Grimlock is simply amazing. Hell, amazing doesn't even cut it. That thing is A WORK OF ART. About How long did it take you roughly from start to finish? Also, how much did you spend in supplies if you don't mind me asking? I've been toying around with the idea of doing a scratchbuild but have zero experience with styrene, and I'm having trouble finding the right thickness. For now I think my talents are stuck in repaint hell.

It took him 9 months

Congrats on the win at BOTCON VP!

Yeah, when I saw the gallery images of the other art room pieces, some of them looked nice, but yours was the clear winner.

Well, I don't have a price in mind.  What I'll end up doing is probably just put them on ebay and see what I can get.

thanks for the congrats and compliments everyone.  There wasn't as many entries this year as past years (so I've heard since this is my first year going to OTFCC/botcon) but there were a couple of very nice customs (TFM's MPPMP and Devastator's articulated Fort Max headmasters) so I feel honored to have placed 1st.  I will post a complete gallery soon with the transformation sequence and hopefully can show you the light piping eyes as its quite cool (not a new concept of course but kinda cool for a custom.  Idea was from TFM).

Oh, that's right. the MP PMP was in the pics too.  That thing was pretty amazing too.  It looked like he had completely scratchbuilt Fortress Maximus and stuffed him into Prime's trailer.  Prime was packin' heat.

Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!

It's soooo good!!! Wow wow!! Hasbro You beter be watching!!
