First looks at Transformers Prime Starscream Action Figure!

Recommended Posts

When we first saw movie Starscream I thought it looked like Waspinator with a modern alt-mode. I still think he looks like that.

The smirk is only half of the problem. The rest is that he looks NOTHING like Starscream. You CAN'T break patterns!

Optimus Prime was NOT the only design they kept traditional. Look at Shockwave and Jazz!

Get over it already. Sheesh! We're on the third movie and you're still complaining about the Starscream's movie design?

This is going with me to my grave. I will NEVER surrender! Why the fuck would I just stop? Did his problems get fixed yet? I think not!

Neither did Waspinator, but was all Starscream.

Wait... Jazz, aside from turning into a car, looks nothing like G1. Aside from his head, Shockwave doesn't look very G1 either. In fact, about %10 of the designs look G1. Like a bit here and there. But looks don't make the character, the character does.

This was my point exactly! lol And if we're counting only Jazz's and Shockwaves heads ... then guess what, I'm counting Screamer's wings, arm weapons and air superiority (his air battle in the first movie was sick although short.) to more then make up for a face. :tfgrin

Dude, that is scary

No. Shockwave is still purple, still has the same body mass, still has a huge gun on his arm, and still has the same head as always.

Jazz still has a hood-chest and head the same as G1

Hellscream is a big fat bulldog faced sasquatch with a few starscream parts thrown in. the design is too hideous for those dinky little homages to have ANY effect!

Oh come on. Starscream still has some G1 traits. He still transforms into a jet, He still has his " I don't get in a fight unless I'm certain I will win" personality, He's still is Megatron's second in command, and he still acts like he's loyal to Megatron, when he's waiting for the right time to take over.

My point? Starscream may not look like his G1 counterpart, but he certainly acts like it.

Lets see:

Starscream still has a gray/silver color scheme. Still has arm weapons, still has a cockpit on his chest. Still has wings on his back, all same as G1.....That doesn't sound like a "few" parts. He's still Megatron's bitch, still commands the skies, and still is a coward.

Ok, so his head/face isn't accurate, but as already mentioned, look at Ironhide, Ratchet, Scorponok, Frenzy, Bonecrusher, Demolisher, Ravage, the Constructicons/Devastator etc...

Everybody else already said it, Starscream has just as many traits as his G1 counterpart as the others. That's the 10% I was talking about.

You only have one of those right. He's purple. The rest of it, though, is wrong.

He has a mono-eye, but his head is quite circular, where as the G1 head is boxy and pointy. His gun is on the left, and not the right, he's a tank not a gun, he had skinny legs originally, and muscular legs now.

He's not Shockwave! .....Sounds kind of silly, doesn't it?

He's still Shockwave, with a new design. Same with Starscream. You're quality of Starscream-isms doesn't quite hold water. As they said, with Waspinator, Waspinator couldn't smirk, yet when he was possessed by Starscream, he was Starscream. Machine Wars Starscream, looked nothing like Starscream, and yet was still characterized as Starscream.

You say Energon Starscream is Starscream, but due to the qualities everyone has listed for Starscream, he's not. He was Megatron/Galvatron's lapdog. He wasn't ambitious or traitorous, he had no personality at all. Your main Starscream defining trait was Starscream's smirk. He didn't smirk. (He isn't smirking in your sig, either.)

If in the future, Hasbro did a Starscream that was nice to children, the elderly, puppies and kittens, and respected his commanders...yet still smirked while doing so, would you expend this much energy on declaring him not Starscream, or accept him as Starscream due to his 'smirk'?
