What AUTOBOTS would you like to see in TF3?

If prowl doesn't commit "Identity Theft" on Barricade's butt, I think that an interesting sub-plot could be that they used to be partners on the police force back in the day.

Or is the "my old partner is now my arch-nemesis" thing just way to played out?

Someone of Deviant Art made an Animated Female Dinobot that is based on a pachy...the domed headed ones. Now granted, the backstory is very fan-ficing (The bot was a human girl with cancer that, thanks to the allspark, got merged with an MRI machine to make the bot), but the design was rather good...so if you ignore that, if would work.

The main question is, which dino do you chose for the female? I mean, the basic 5 are the classic dinos: T-rex, trike, brachio, ptero and stego. What would be the female's? You want it well known...but you can't do raptor, as that is Dinobot, and he can't be a girl. Pachy I like as a girl, but is it well known enough?

Well, you could make her even smaller than a Raptor and make her a Compy. :tfevil But than, she's only be about the size of Wheelie. :tfhuh So far, with the five existing Dinobots, you have two based upon predators, and three based upon herbivores, so we'd definitely need another predator to balance them out.

A few choices that seem well known by features if not name.

Pachy is well known by to the dome on it's head (I know plenty of people that know what it is, just not the actual name of said dinosaur)

Parasaurolophus (sp?)-known by the crest on it's head and duck billed face and walking on two legs

Ankylosaurus-we all know what that is. It's the walking tank w/ a clubbed tail and spikes on its back.

However, both of thse previously mentioned are herbivores which would work well for a female. Most of the carnivores are too "masculine" looking to pass off as a decent female Dinobot save the Compy, who was really more of a scavenger than a real hunter. However, there are 2 ancient reptiles (one flying and one swimming) that aren't dinosaurs proper, but are usually lumped in with them that could pass off as feminine.

Ichthyosaurus-a swimming reptile w/ a long snout similar to a bottlenose dolphin's snout (just longer)

Ramphorhynchus (a type of pterosaur)-it'd be very distinguishable from Swoop in that it had no head crest and a long tail (which could become a clubbed whip in robot mode)

BTW:

NO ANIMATED CHARACTERS IN MOVIE-VERSE!!!

No Bulkhead

No Sari

None of that at all!

It's not that I don't like the Animated characters. It's just they wouldn't work well in the movie-verse IMO.

More choices for fan-created female Dinobots:

Guanlong wucaii: a small, ancestral tyrannosauroid complete with head crest;

Mei long:a small member of the Troodont family (a group somewhat close to th 'raptors.'

Microraptor: either M. zhaoianus or M. gui: a small, 4-'winged' member of the Dromaeosaur ('raptor') family;

Maiasaura peeblesorum: name roughly translates to 'good-mother lizard.' If you're going to do a duckbill, here's an option;

Any member of the Ornithomimosauria ('ostrich-mimics') could possibly work;

Stegoceras validum: a less-grotesque version of Pachycephalosaurus.

Also, granted this is not a dinosaur, but: a cool idea to toss around could be a a transforming mosasaur (a group of sea lizards very closely related to snakes--some of which got to be absolutely enormous and seem to be the aquatic equivalent of the largest carnivourous dinosaurs).

One character I'd really like to see in TF3 is Punch/Counterpunch, and I'd like to see him accurately portray his bio: the deepcover agent who's been undercover for so long that the cover persona begins to take over.

Well aside from the Dinobots (yay Grimlock!) I can think of some other Autobots I'd like to see in TF3. Though I think the current answers contain to few amounts of new characters, I have a feeling we'll be getting at least 8 new autobots (not including Dinobots). But either way here's my predictions

~Returning Cast from ROTF~

-Optimus Prime (duh)

-Bumblebee (we need a yellow kids appeal robot)

-Ironhide

-Ratchet (does he even do any medical stuff in these movies?)

-Sideswipe

-Arcee

-Moonracer (seriously....moonracer?)

-Skids

-Mudflap

-Jolt (Only needed for combiners to well....combine)

~New Cast~

- Prowl : I'm sorry but I just can't come up with anything more perfect than the whole stealing barricade's identity thing.

- Stratosphere : I have an odd suspision that he will be the "mega bot" for the Autobots side. His plane mode already appeared in the movie and I think it would make sense he would appear in the film to fight Devastator or another decepticon bigbot.

- Breakaway: This is just me but I'd predicting the Aerialbots coming into play for the third movie and I think Breakaway would be one of them.

- Wheeljack

- Perceptor

- 4 other Aerialbots

Also I don't think we've seen the last of Powered-up Prime, my guess is after the final battle (I rise, you fall etc.) N.E.S.T. retrieved Jetfire's parts and have them stored at base for Optimus to use when needed....that or they put them on Ebay, either would work.

I like your list!! :thumb

that'd be interesting :munch

How about some of the G1s that are always a bit left behind like-

Huffer

Kup

Gears

Sunstreaker

Cliffjumper

:yay

Sunstreaker - Sideswipes egotistical brother, doesn't have to sound like a sufer dude, just very vain and self centered. ie like the comics or cartoon.

Hound - old timer milatary scout - million uses there

Brawn - nuff said

Prowl - Stratagist, offical and unforgiving

Mirage - passifst, spy.

wishlist

Warpath, man I loved that guy.

Which is another herbivore. Any new Dinobot should be a carnivore to balance out the group.

Here is what I would love to see as the alternate mode for a proper movie version of Elita-1 in the next film:

Elita-1-2006-SuperCrewzer-A.jpg

It's a 2006 Ford F-650 "Super Crewser". The original photo was white with turquoise and black detailing. I digi-bashed it into Elita's colors. I'm trying to draw a decent robot mode, but the movie style is not exactly my forté.

Can you digibash it in burgundy with orange highlights........ROTF Rodimus!

I could, but I'm not gonna. :tfevil It's not exactly the vehicle I would see as Rodimus. I chose this vehicle for Elita-1 because it's a sleek, sexy truck that would make for a good female Autobot leader of compatible size to Optimus Prime. For Rodimus, I'd go more with an SUV rather than a pickup.
