Alternators Tracks remold...

Recommended Posts

I can't wait to see the finished product. I know the original Ravage's head was all black but I'm hoping they add some color or design to his head. It looks plain now. I really think it's cool he has a working jaw. It looked posable but I'm happy to see those new pics. Auctioners aren't the best posers, so maybe there's a better Cat mode or maybe the final version will have a tail.

1. I like the Alt Battle Ravage.

2. Alternators is not G1.

3. G1 was by no means the best Transformers series or even the one that 'started it all'.

4. Alternators are not intended to be based on G1, it's a line in it's own right.

5. Hasbro changed Tracks because of plastic quality issues. That's all. Not because the 'fans' demanded it. If Hasbro\Takara only did what the vocal adult part of the TF community wanted, they'd never sell anything. They cater to their biggest sector, the kids, first.

6. Their UK distribution still sucks though.

1. That's fine if you like it. I don't have a problem with that. I just said it looks silly and the toy shows a HUGE lack of anyone even trying to re-tool it. Sorry, a kitty head on a mold doesn't really count as good repaint/re-tool. Oh wait, there's no hard top.

2. I also know Alternators is not G1, but they sure make it hard to tell.

3. I never said G1 was the best Transformers series, and yes it was the one that started it all, at least the way we know Transformers. If you are referring to the Diaclone and Microman series, then techinically, you're right. However, I'm referring that if G1 hadn't been so popular, we wouldn't have had Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Ernergon, Alternators, and the upcoming movie.

4. Yes, Alternators is based on G1. Look at the story and the character names. Is it G1? No, but it sure is based on it. Again, they make it hard to tell.

5. I guess Takara is releasing a Blue Tracks because they were having "metal quality issues"? Do we know for sure they did it because of the fan base? Nope. I think that would be thinking a little much of ourselves, but it is curious.

6. Sorry about the UK distribution....

*Warnings Issued*

Was going to lock this as well, but this really is important news so for now Ill just be content with warning those who were turning this into a flamefest

Again, I like it. A lot. Yeah, it'd be better with claws, or even a full on kitty mode. That on all fours pic is weak though. But it reminds me of a cat version of a werewolf or something. When I see it, it says "Ravage", as opposed to just haveing a repainted autobot-looking head, or any humanoid robot head for that matter. As to not showing imagination, I think you'd have to have a weak imagination not to dig this, at least on some level.

Remember, this isnt even the final version yet, and for whatever reason you want to say, we got blue tracks, and sunstreaker is rumored to be an exclusive. So, just in case Has/Tak is actually listening:

MORE ANIMAL PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!

MORE ANIMAL PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Outrider,

BG mentioned this in one of the other posts, and I agreee that he needs claw's... I am completely with you, but if he gets a tail I will snip it off...

Just another few thoughts from me:

1. That "beast" mode or whatever with Ravage on all fours just looks wrong, for all the wrong reasons. Don't make me elaborate. :wtf

2. About the Alternators/G1 connection:

Something that people need to understand is that the TF fandom are not responsible for creating the link between Alternators and G1. Hasbro and Takara are responsible for creating the link between Alternators and G1. It was their decision to (exclusively) use G1 names and characters. Their decision to use a G1-universe back story. Their decision to make each figure an intentional G1 homage. They didn't have to do this, but they did. Now it may have been done for marketing purposes or whatever, but the fact remains that that was the decision they made.

As such, I don't think it's unfair for fans to ask how good of a job Has/Tak has done in regards to the G1 connection.

If the arms, Legs/feet on the final version were remolded, he could have a great beast mode

char_knight_05_m.jpg

That is hot, anyone got a pic of the alt mode

If this thing really does manifest I can`t wait to see what`s next! :eek

Why do people STILL think it's a fake? There have been three or four independent sources confirming this, two of which had been very reliable sources in the past regarding protos of upcoming releases. You think Hasbro is putting all the effort into remolding Tracks into Ravage, then leaking a test shot, only to have fun with fanboys?

Anything is possible.

You know I now stand that i am right and the s2000 will end up as rumble/frenzy
