Alternators Tracks remold...

Recommended Posts

1. I like the Alt Battle Ravage.

2. Alternators is not G1.

3. G1 was by no means the best Transformers series or even the one that 'started it all'.

4. Alternators are not intended to be based on G1, it's a line in it's own right.

5. Hasbro changed Tracks because of plastic quality issues. That's all. Not because the 'fans' demanded it. If Hasbro\Takara only did what the vocal adult part of the TF community wanted, they'd never sell anything. They cater to their biggest sector, the kids, first.

6. Their UK distribution still sucks though.

Well, be fair -- G1 *was* what started it all, and the Binaltech story is taking place in (at least) an alternate G1 universe with G1 characters (even Dr. Archevil?!?). And then there's the fact that every Alternator has been derived from a G1 character (most of whom are the spitting image of their G1 namesake).

I understand that Alternators is its own line, independent of G1 continuity etc., but let's not be too reactionary about this.

dude, he has a working jaw? the "panther" mode there doesnt look too bad i guess, although i doubt many people will actually display him like that

Oh god this is the GAYEST idea for an Alternator ever.

Since when do we accept "gay" as an insult?

Yeah, no kidding. Grow up, kiddies!

You guys are a whining nuisance that Hasbro would love to break all ties with entirely.

And you're a moron with a 168 IQ. I see that your "intelligence" hasn't kept you from being an obsessive contrarian complainer.

Get off it. Just because the G1 fans don't like it doesn't make it good. It's still a robot cat's head stuck on an otherwise anthropomorphically human body. Why not call it BT Bast?

Bah, what a travesty.

Too bad Ravage wasn't a wolf. At least a werewolf humanoid robot would make a bit more sense.

Hmm...picturing Alternator Fangry or Weirdwolf. Um. Nevermind...

OK, having seen that ridiculous 'all fours' ravage transformation I agree that the figure looks OK as a humanoid. Ho about a reverse knee pose though to give him a more animal-like pose - I think you can do that with tracks but will check later.

I think that this is a natural progression for the decepticons in the BT line. After all, you could tell that dead end was a bad guy just from the face and the paint job, forget the decep logo. Swindle is a bit less clear cut from the photos I've seen but Ravage is without a doubt a bad guy - the black paint job and animal head doesn't look like one of the good guys to me. After all, this is a line mainly aimed at the younger generation. Besides, at least HASTAK are trying to vary the molds a bit, dead end was the hard top version of sideswipe and they look very different. Ravage is the soft top version of tracks.

After hearing that ravage would be the next release it got me thinking, what if the Honda S2000 turns out to be rumble!?!? If the proto colours are accurate (for a change) then black and red are his colours. Added to the fact it's a smaller car and the gun to body proportions (compared to G1) it seems to fit the bill.

Also, isn't it about time we had some BTs with a dual hand-held weapon config, kinda like the G1 cassettes did. They're doing a good job by varying things with Grimlocks sword and gun and the S2000s cannon (not to mention tracks' arsenal!) but I'd still like a twin exhaust / twin gun combo.

And next up, you'll make your 8th post and it'll be more irrelevant drivel that has nothing productive to add to the fandom or the toy franchise!

Go Alternators, show the Geewun fans that you aren't gonna listen...

Amazing, this guy is still throwing around insults, flaming and trolling, says nothing constructive, and I see no warning or lock. Why is this allowed??

Ok, either the auction is huge hoax, or the auctioner is really reaching with that all fours tranformation....

Look, if they could do some re-molding and make this (as has been mentioned in this thread previously) have a more cat-like transformation (it wouldn't really be all that hard), I think nobody would really be complaining.

I think the real problem here is HasTak having some vision on creating something new that we weren't expecting but then dropping the ball on the execution. Just because it's a novel idea doesn't make it a good idea.

Ok, this is the second time I've had to say this, but back on topic everyone. Next person who flames someone else's personal opinion is getting a warning and this thread will get locked down
*salutes*

You got it cheif.

Why can't you listen to the mods and just shut your mouth to the comments coming through. They are opinions, JUST like yours. No more worthy than anyone else's here....

offa that subject...

I dislike this, but I disliked the idea of Grimlock being a car, so there's no surprise there. This will probably be the first alternator I don't buy. Unless I don't buy Grimlock, but since it's the first Mustang I may anyways.

I for one will stop buying alternators once they go beyond g1 homages, because that's what I buy them for to begin with. No disrespect to the fans of other generations, but it's not what I like.

I have yet to see any kids buying the alternators, I mostly see adults. I think with their obvious generation 1 names, and tones, they aren't aiming for kids, they ARE aiming for adult collectors, and it seems to be working because other than the overstocked Sideswipe and Smokescreen, the others are hard as all hell to find.

If you don't like G1, that's your perogative, but just like i'll respect your love of another generation, why can't people respect other's love for G1. These were obviously aimed at the G1 fanbase, due to the way they were designed and produced. It's not some slight towards other generations, it's just a fact.
