Alternators Tracks remold...

Recommended Posts

True, there is a G1 connection, but mainly on Takara's part. Alternators doesn't even have a storyline/tech specs

In Binal Tech, its clear its an Alternate Universe take on G1 so as such, why is it such a strech of the imagination to see G1 characters in different forms in an alternate universe?

Well, the fact that they have G1 names and are obviously modeled after G1 characters might also strengthen the connection...

Personally, I just think that this is making the Transformers the Carformers. Some of the TFs should definitely be cars, but not all of them. Just my opinion, and if you disagree with me you're a total loser and not a real TF fan. :P

i dont think anyone can argue with you on that

There are a few that still do....They have such a weird mental problem that they can't buy an Energon or Armada toy unless their brain is fully convinced that its the G1 character, with a new body....

And Yes, I recognize that the current Alternators are indeed re-designs of the G1 toys. I'd be blind and stupid to ignore that...they even go as far as to give them toon accurate heads with a few details added...But my point is that it's NOT The G1 storyline...You can just as easily claim that Energon Rodimus is G1 Rodimus, as easily as you can say that yellow Alt Tracks is G1 Tracks...it's all about fiction, and currently, Alternators has none...the box doesn't say "Generation One collection"....That line is already on shelves at TRU...this line is the Alternators, and it should include characters from ALL generations, there's no reason that a specific fan portion should be favored over the rest, when we all deserve to see our fav characters redone in this awesome detailed style....Energon, Armada, BW, G1...put them ALL into Alternators...

Yeah I hope they get enough sales and rights to make more than just cars. I'd take a 1:24 scale motorcycle, speed boat, helecopter, even an actual size digi camara.

I'm beginning to see more of where you're coming from. You hate G1 favoritism. Fair enough.

And let me go on the record as saying that I do not want ANY Beast era characters as Alternators. Beast Wars/Machines was an evolution from the original G1 show; let's not backtrack and force the characters into a "earth style cars" mold. Ick.

P.S. I don't claim that E Rodimus is G1 Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod. Or any of that. As far as I'm concerned, Hasbro punked out when they went with a dub of Car Robots rather than continuing with an American TF show. I like some of the toys (especially RiD), but as for "story"... wake me when it's over.

To get slightly back on subject, does the release of this Tracks repaint/remold mean we won't get an yellow Alt. Tracks (assuming Hasbro has fixed the whole plastics issue)?

EDIT: Am I detecting some understanding and love here? :luv

expertly stated, hopefully that satisfies the masses, though i doubt it

Yes...My problem with it is this..

I'm a Superlink fan. I love the characters, story, the toys...everything, I think its a jewel.

But typical G1 fanboy...they don't like G1 for its elements, they just hate everything else for not being G1. This is why they get so mad when you pick apart G1 and expose all of its low points...

We won't be getting a yellow Tracks (at least not at this time). That's nothing new actually.

Imagine an anotomically correct gorilla that turns into Optimus Primal. :eek

Since Alternators is all about acuracy and what not.
