I don't want to this to turn into some sort of flaming thread, so hopefully it will stay civil. My question is: why does it seem like everyone bashes the G1 fanboy? I read alot of threads that have little digs at g1. I mean we are all tf fans so why does so many people dump on the original fans? People seem to go out of there way to basically tell g1 fans to eat s@#$. I watched Transformers in the 80ies, I grew up with G1, it has always been my favorite (despite its faults). I have also enjoyed watching the evolution of Transformers throughout the years. I just can't wrap my head around what it is that makes fans of the later stuff to be so resentful of the original…

OK -- I'm going to delve into something that's been bothering me recently. And that topic is why/how Power Rangers and other Bandai brands are outdoing Transformers. Personally, I will always love TFs above all else -- they were my first exposure to transforming robots, and that's why they've stuck out in my mind the most. Now, during the early '90s, like most youngsters, I was a PR fan. I had to have the toys, I watched the show, etc. But now as an adult, more than ten years later, I look back and feel embarrassed that that was part of my experience growing up. But I'll never be embarrassed to admit to being a Transfan. But what about today's market and the kids thes…

I have been wondering lately if there is a web site where you can upload music to, and then make a playlist to listen to it, or put on a website. Sites like Pandora and ... whatever that one I have on my site for metal, doesn't let you upload songs to. Anyone heard of such a thing? I've got A LOT of Transformers music that I would like to eventually put online and have a player of sorts. But I can't think... I could EVER get enough space... I've got 1.21GB of Transformers music... Here's a list in case anyone is interested. Most of it is the History CDs, the Botcon set and Tony Bacala tracks... WINAMP playlist ----------------------------------------------…

Driven my workmates and friends mad with this question. Most bizzar answer I've had so far is a workmate who said she'd like to transform into a Disco (?!), dance floor and DJ station. Weirdo! Oh, lets keep it simple as well. No multi-changers! Just one alt mode (you can be rude if you want to be Gasket!). Mine is: Space cruiser.

OPTIMUS PRIME ALTERNATE MODE The big (tiny) rig actually looks good with flames on the front and doors, silver accents and painted windshield (pictures don't show it). Working front and rear (1st set) wheels, the very rear ones are actually molded and hide a pivot point. Strangely, it only has one smokestack (on the right). It looks smaller than the Spychanger Prime, but they're actually the exact same size. TRANSFORMATION Nothing too fancy here but it's another interesting take. Split the top of the truck and fold down the halves to form the arms. Holding the arms/torso, rotate that whole unit to the back. Now split the front of the truck in two and fold …

I want to preface this by saying this topic is in no way a dig at this site, the people who run it, or the members who frequent it. It seems to me that traffic on this site has slowed dramatically. BotCon coverage was great and the movie/game news is still interesting. Are we suffering from Transformer Fatigue? Is all the rapid fire news here lately just too much, too fast? I know I felt a little burnt out this last week. I was grateful to have E3 news as a sort of mental palate cleanser. This site has an insightful, thriving forum community that fosters great discussion but it appears lately nobody stays on long or has much to say. Conversely, my asessment of the sit…

As collectors we do invest a lot of our hard earned money into this hobby. As individuals we have a diverse way of enjoying the toys that we buy. This poll thread is for the discussion of the different ways that we enjoy our hobby. Disclaimer: 1. Remember that NO one collector type is really better or worse than the other. It all depends on your own personal set of values. 2. These collector types represent a spectrum. Many of us would probably identify with multiple categories - possibly all of them! However most of us will tend to predominantly identify ourselves with one category over the others. So look for the one category that you most strongly identify with…
