  2. Started by Lobo,

Hey everybody! This is my next project and possible BotCon entry. A scratchbuilt HOS: Megatron based on Guido's concept drawing. Here's a few WIP pics since I started him. The first thing I did was make the torso. I scaled all the dimmensions off of Guido's drawing with the intention of using 3" PVC pipe for the large wheels. When all said and done, he's going to stand about 8.5" tall (about the same height as G2 Megs). The hip and shoulder joints are from Lego Knights. The next bit was to add stomach detail and the upper legs. The head is just one I made to get the size and shape figured out. The sculpt on it is not that great. And th…

  3. I have another side project I'm starting on what number is this one? Um like 5 or 6 at least. Any way I have drilled a hole where the Dcon emblem was on Scavenger's stomach for the Energon star port on E Demolishor/Longhaul to plug into. This is just step one. Next will be to give treads to the one loader turning it into a bulldozer, and adding a cement barrel to the crane arm of one of the cranes. Should have worn my Kevlar glove though cause the drill bit nicked the back of my left middle finger. Oh well it could have been much worse. I'll get back to work on my Predaking Monday, and Tuesday.

it's a little crude right now, but maybe someone can refine it.

  5. Here is my 2006 repaint. Presenting to u "WSTF" Metroplex. See the size comparison with WSTF prime. It's built up from the kabaya type kits and repainted to look like this. Feel free to comment. thanks It's very small that's why hand painted and thus quite a bit of paint chip while transforming. Only 2 modes. can view my 2005 repaints here. 2005 repaints

  6. Started by Matt Booker,

Animated Bumblebee is an underrated figure, hobbled with the cheap appearance of yellow plastic, different tones of yellow, and a crappy stinger gimmick. In spite of this, I really wanted to like the little guy. But something had to be done about his stinger. He’s a deluxe, not BBBB. After mulling it over for a while (and convincing my future Mrs. to let me hack away at her hard-to-find Bumblebee), I figured out a good way to do it. The result is a fairly easy custom to make, but one that’s much more awesomer than the original. View the Custom Here Some of this may be obvious to the more experienced customizer, but this was my firs…

  7. Started by Khan,

So, I bought an oversized knockoff Bruticus on eBay, and decided that the garish paint job had to go. While I repainted it, I also painted an Arcee into an evil Arcee. And when I took the pictures, I decided to take pictures of the original G2 Megatron job I did. The paint is Model Masters Titanium, Magnesium, and Black Pearl, with a Testors black, silver, and gold marker for details. I used the silver to highlight the edges to make it look like aged metal, and generally erred on the side of whatever took the least time rather than correctness. Then I convinced myself it was Artistic. :thumb The Bruticus and Arcee models ended up cracking and having other pro…

  8. Started by AnimatedPlastic,

I've finally begun work on my first custom Alternator. This will be the first of 5 I will be doing. I am "updating" Wildrider and making him into a Ferrari 360 Modena. Here are some early pics of the progress. Quite time consuming as I have never done one before. I had to plan this one out quite a bit. I am using Tracks as a base. I tried to remove the pins for the wheels but in the end it was easier to just cut them out as I had to move the wheels back anyways. Tracks got his rear end trimmed way down so I can fit the arms into the back end of the Modena. Got my Airbrush out and I am now finally going to start using it! Bu…
