Great work so far! Are you going to do smaller mods to the individual bots, like different coloured chest plates for hook and the others? maybe some thigh, head and chest swaps with the alternate black/dark grey versions? a purple chest here and there, etc.

Actually I will be painting them all in G1 colors, and sculpting their heads to look like their G1 selves.

Pretty cool :thumb

but the barrel for mixmaster seems abit too big when in leg mode...

i still havent finish painting mine... (T_T)

Actually it is just the angle of the pic it lines up just right due to me cutting off the little edge that was on there.

Hey, I just got WST Devastator in the mail and my hopes panned out: his head is exactly the right size to hack onto Classics Dev. The Great Toys Store on eBay has ten available right now. I bought this one to paint and add articulation, but I'm ordering another for the head (and other spare bots/parts). I hope you don't take this the wrong way because I think the head you built looks great, but I thought you might like to know the 'real thing' is available for about thirteen bucks including shipping.

STill yet, the WST Devistator's head would be waaay too big and wouldn't work with the transformation scheme. Plus there's something to be said about something that you make on your own. knowwhutImean?

I don't have it yet (still haven't found it), but this is the Classics Dev, right? I've only seen prelim pictures, but I thought one of the arms and one of the legs were dark purple. All your limbs are the correct green. I guess that's why I asked what paint you've used, because I thought you might've painted the two purple guys to match the other 3 greens...

Actually I didn't build it I spent hours carving it out of the E Devastator head. The only add on parts were the "mo hawk", and the nose. You might want to look into getting an Action Master Devastator instead. A guy over on Transtopia mentioned in my thread over there that he plans to try doing it that way. From what he said they are often cheap like $5. I thought about it and even looked at a couple of auctions and though it looks good I chose to sculpt my own.

I do have them. The crane is parts fodder, and the gray loader is going to become Deadend for my Menasor.(just trust me on this one) I didn't paint any of the figs so far because I went out and bought a second set and took the green limbs from that one for mine and gave my son the other colored green Energon limbs.

Looks awesome. I can't wait to do the same thing to mine!

Looks great so far. One thing I do want to say is that the G1 Devastator wing on this guy looks wrong. Maybe have that piece replaced with something suggesting that wing instead of having that actual wing.

I'm not sure I understand how the G1 wing could possibly look wrong on him but ok. Any way this way of giving him treads was actually one of 2 ways I was considering the other was to use the tread arms from RiD Wedge but those left too much open space visible so I decided to go with my original idea to use the E tank limb's treads.

The wings look great but they look like they might restrict his movement a bit. Is that so?
