Movie Megatron is back and this time he's...a tank! Wait, he was a tank before too but now it's Generation 2 style green and purple. Megatron was made from the DotM voyager Shockwave body mold with various tweaks like foot spikes removed, shoulder pads added, and hands from an Iron Monger replacing his clawed ones. The head came from an Fast Action Battlers Megatron and a double joint system was created that allows his tank turret to sit on his shoulder or in the middle of the vehicle. I went with symmetrical purple sections instead of camouflage and gave him a basic weathered look but without the crazy silver scuffing to keep the paint job deeper in color. More pics…

Has anybody tried to replace the wheels of ROTF Leader class Optimus Prime with the rubber wheels of 2007 Movie Leader class Optimus Prime? If you were successful, please let me know ASAP so I can do that to my own ROTF Leader class Optimus Prime! If not, would the alternative be to coat the wheels of ROTF Leader class Optimus Prime with Performix Plasi Dip?

:bot Greetings alien robot lovers! Hope this is okay posted here as it's not so much a custom Transformer but a custom made display case for Transformers, or anything really but I'll get to that later! The story goes... My wife started asking odd questions regarding the size of a Transformer, height, width, depth, name etc which I thought extremely out of character? She likes the movies, tolerates my collection and I think she has a thing for the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen!! Now I love a surprise and was filled with hope that she had some crazy plan for a gift for my recent 40th birthday! After visiting relatives over in Dublin the gif…

I have an airbrush, I am practicing on some figures, but I do not want to screw up on my Dino Combiner. Please feel free to give me the one, two, and three for the processes. Especially the NOT to DO. Here is my cust I plan to do my first painting on. I will be using grea, silver, blue and red.

Has anybody ever used Denatured Alcohol to remove the original paint from any kind of Transformers figure? If so, can it remove the paint without damaging the plastic itself?

Fellow members, I'm looking for a chemical agent/solution to remove the silver paint from the front arm claws Universe Ultra class Razorclaw’s beast mode. My previous attempts (listed below) were unsuccessful: Immersed them in Paint Thinner for 1 hour! Immersed them in Odorless Mineral Spirits for 1 hour! Immersed them in Bleach for 1 hour! Immersed them in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for 24 hours! My next plan is to immerse them in Castrol Super Clean, but in light of my previous attempts, I'm not 100% sure it will work. Does anybody know what other chemical agents/solutions that might help me remove the paint from the claws without damaging the pl…

Rack 'n' Ruin were created using a combination of two Gundam MSJ-06II-A Tieren Ground types in 1/144 scale and 3D prints of components I designed. The Paints are ModelMaster. The main green used is Olive Drab with some Dark Green and some Green Zinc Chromate. Unlike the original characters these come with backpacks to store their malay weapons and hands which are interchangeable at the wrist. Like the original characters these do not transform due to their surgical attachment at the shoulder. The 3D components to convert the gundam kits will be made available in the weeks to come. Please stay tuned... click on pic for gallery.

While I love the original G1 Optimus Prime figure, one thing has ALWAYS bothered me about him... This: Prime's rifle doesn't exactly fit his hand the right way. This is because the actual handle on it is handle shaped, while the hole in prime's fist is set to hold a peg: The result: poor Prime has to hold his rifle by what is essentially the magazine, as we see in the first picture.... Until now. What I did was to remove the original molded handle, and with Devcon Plastic Welder, install a peg-type handle. The result: So now, Prime is able to hold his rifle the right way. Maybe now Megatron will stop laughing...

After snagging the Asia exclusive Generations Cliffjumper I really liked the headsculpt but could only think of the body as a TF Prime Cliff. So off with his head! The body I chose was a Special Ops Jazz and went to work on making him a bit different from the waist down. Modifications include the lower legs were swapped so that he could still transform though his feet were backwards. The large foot became the shin panel and the heels modded to become the smaller front feet. The spoiler was removed for clearance and I modded quite a bit from the back of his legs to get really nice 'backwards' knee articulation. Sentinel Prime's mech-tech weapon became his blaster/bazooka a…
