Upgrades

I was posting in another tread, and made this quick mock up to illustrate a point. I decided to share it here to give the idea to either the customizers who do such great work and share it here, or to Hasbro. Either way, this is Generations Springer's body (redeco of DOTM Tamahawk) with Fall of Cyberton Shockwave's head. I believe that in the right colors, it would be a great Whirl. Enjoy!

i've started a headswap and slight repaint and just wanted some pointers, though trying to find a way to keep the sleek black without any symbols any ideas? and im really fond of the classics sideswipe head attached to this mold as it provides maximum neck range

I used the head of hero Megatron on G2 Dreadwing, and it fit perfectly! They have the same plug and screw system to attach the head... like they were meant for each other. The idea came to me from the IDW comics, that use a Megatron mold that transforms into a flying wing kind of plane. I remembered reading that Hasbro wanted to repaint Dreadwing into Megatron at the end of the G2 line and never did. The rest is history...

So back when I got my RID Prime in the post, I opened him up and straight off hated his forarms. I mean, why clear blue??? That wasn't the worst of it though, the face on mine's paint job was smudged to all hell, and just looked awefull, So I recently decided something must eb done to fix this guy. All in all I have: Repainted the face and gave it dome better detail Repainted his sword Detailed his abdomen section Applied some more red to his chest area Painted the rims on his wheels Gave him a nice new gun, that better fits him than that crappy "powerizer" piece of crap he had. Hi guys, I'm planning my first custom, an Autobot called Gearbox. But I need some help and advice ( and I apologise if there's threads that I've missed explaining this) But my base transformer will be the Target Exclusive Dark of the Moon Bumblebee figure which will be coming soon. And I want a Jazz Head and I would like to change the hands so they are more universal for any weapon and I would like to improve any articulation if there needs to be any as I want Gearbox to be as articulate as possible.
