Eh...I'm actually not all that interested in Universe. Animated is really doing it for me.

I wish I could say that but Streaker and Prowl are so Must buys.

im gonna call my tru. and i hope they have. Update: i called and my tru in cinci is in the processs of putting the universe figures on the shelves! im going down tonight to get.

For those who are into Animated; I'm glad you enjoy the line, and I wish both the Animated line and show a long, successful run. There are those of us, however, who don't like the Animated aesthetic and prefer the G1/UT/Universe look. Let us have our fun while you have yours.

Hey- by all means, enjoy them. I'm just not sure I'm into the looks of the new Classics fare. There were only a few of the first Classics figures I liked and picked up. I'm not saying you can't enjoy them, just that I'm not as into them as I thought I was when I starting getting the Animated figs.

 

I think I'm to a point in my personal collection where I only want to keep toys from G2 (my childhood), BW/BM, Movie, and Animated- along with a few nifty figs from this line here and that line there.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. No worries, my mistake.

FTR, I'm having a pretty fun time transforming Animated Voyager Cyb. Megs back and forth ATM (if you reverse the orientation, viewing the back as the front, he makes for a decent alien jet).

Regarding the animated vs. universe debate, I really don't see any need to choose sides. They're both uber-sweet lines. I so far have six animated figures and they've all surprised me with their quality and transformation schemes (and no stupid gimmicks!!!).

Agent Zero- Since you're a big fan of Voyager Megatron maybe you can help me with a problem. I can't quite get his fusion cannon to sit on his arm properly. Any suggestions? Maybe a picture? Thanks in advance!

I hope it doesn't get to HTS.com soon. I have those guys on pre-order with them, and I'm already spending about $54 total (that's with shipping) at BBTS for wave three DLX Animated (Jazz/Snarl/Soundwave/Oil Slick). And I just found Animated Voyager Prime today at Target. Picked up the last one, saw some guy going to the checkout with two of them, and I ran (had our service dog out for practice so he got a nice jog to boot). Got there, saw nothing but Bulkheads, Cyb Megatrons, and Starscreams. Then lo and behold in the back behind about three Bulkheads was the last Optimus. Yay. Now to get Leader Class Bulkhead and I'll have correctly scaled Autobots. I got Voyager Bulkhead to battle Lugnut when I get him.

That is the figure's downside, there's no "good" way to rest the cannon on his arm. The best way, I've found, is to rest it under his arm, ala Classics Megatron.

Actually it was just poorly designed. As it comes, there is no way the cannon really looks good on the arm. You have to carve out some of the plastic on the cannon mount so it clears the hinge and then it can fit better on the side of his arm. I did it and it works like a charm

 

Only problem is that after you do that make sure you be extra careful because then the part you trimmed leaves the mount a little thin, so a hard fall on the right place or any kind of extra stress could end up breaking it, or maybe not...who knows.
