Biggest Transformers toy flop of 2007?

Recommended Posts

The only TF figures that I got this year I would CONSIDER, IN MY OPINION, to be flops would be Deluxe Brawl (I just don't transform him at all... he's not worth the effort to me), and most especially Deluxe Payload - the falling off parts, horrible plunger in his back, and the like are not redeemed by any aspect of this figure. Real Gear Meantime is the closest thing to a "flop" in my opinion among the Real Gears, and that's simply because its "watch" mode just doesn't cut it for me, but even there I wouldn't consider him a "flop". And Jazz might have mediocre (at best) arms, but I enjoy him, so he's not a flop for me.

Aha! You reminded me! Real Gears! ARRGH I hate those! My kids love them -- at least they love the idea of them -- but when they get them home, the toys come apart into a zillion pieces. Complete waste of money.

Based on how many times I've read this post from Pete,

I think Big Daddy's kids are just destructive...

:tflaugh it's more a measure of my mighty angst (it just makes me want to... go out and fight crime!)

Honestly, the issue is that they try to transform them and they fall apart. Monkey Controller and Decepticon Phone (as they are called by our youngest), I'm looking at you.

But are they a threat to America?

Cyber Slammers are waaaaay below the level of Throttlebots (and even Battlechargers!).

However, those were both intended as "main toyline" releases for the primary Transformers buying demographic (5-10 year old boys), which is why Clifbee had more fun playing with the Throttlebots when he was eight; therefore he shouldn't have been surprised that the Cyber Slammers (for 3 year olds) didn't compare.

I think that some people want to collect everything that says "Transformers" on it, and when said toy is obviously intended for toddlers, the wheels come of the bus of their reasoning.
