Bay To Throw Fanboys Off Real "Transformers 2" Scent

Recommended Posts

I don't care about what Bay posts on line. What ever is going to be the final film will be cool regardless...Bays vision of the bots has been the best ever! After seeing part one, I have no interest in any bot that looks remotely humanoid in the face.

The only bad news Bay could leak out is that all the bots will look more G1 in appearance in bot form...oh and that robots that can become their own spaceship come to earth in a big monstrous one.

But this is "the guy who beat your nerdy ass in high school" Michael Bay. So what ever info comes out and if it sounds G1, I'm hoping it will be all bogus. No coronation for Starscream, no big giant space ships (bots can transform into their own), no autobot city...or autobot head quarters (are they not advanced enough to have their super DNA based computer built in?!).

The further away Michael Bay stays from G1, the better. Here's an Idea, we don't need hot rod, make Bumble Bee into Rodimus Prime. He can scan the new latest and greatest hot car and it be red, then bingo, Rodimus Prime. Also since Optimus dies, lets leave it that way! And lastly, get Jet fire into the picture.

I'm not sure, but maybe some of you have seen this----

Hopefully the link works.

It could be a 'throw-off',or it could be fan made,I don't know.

Still cool nonetheless.

I am so hoping that this is BS. Sorry G1 fans but I have never been a fan of Dino bots...and I really hope Bay sees the absurdity of robots hiding on earth disguised as B-Movie models from a godzila movie.

Insecticons could work as long as they go the Beast Wars rout and make them look like insects (the beginnings of droids scanning and replicating organic life forms) but they have to stay that small size, NO MASS SHIFTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How well this works is up in the air, but it's really no different from George Lucas calling Return of the Jedi "Blue Harvest" during filming so that people wouldn't be trying to find out all the secrets.

Or the fact that if anybody remembers the trailer that was shown before Transformers with Lady Liberty's head, is under the name of "Cloverfield" though that's not the actual name of the film, which we'll find out in January (I plan to see it).

It looks stupid dude. I saw a trailer for it. I was just as excited as anybody when I saw the 'cloverfield' trailer, but its a movie about a mythological 'godzilla' like creature in a modern day New York. It looks like a stinkor!

I was thinking about the last go around... and what kind of fan/monster it turned me into.

Instead of getting pissed off about stuff... I'm just going to jump straight to the acceptance/enjoying the ride part. B/c that's where I finally was 2 weeks before the show.

I anticipate visiting TFormers.com and the boards... but mostly just to keep up on the figures and release dates.

If giant robots transform into things and blow each other up... then I'll buy a ticket.

He could use Cy-kill ... and I'm not sure if I'd care to stress out about it, at this point.

.... just so long as he looked freaking sweet

I second that! Hell, why not add Leader One, Pathfinder while we're at!

Might as well, at least we all KNOW they suck.
And then us fanboys will start Starscreaming endlessly because these things have happened again and again.

I've never known a fanboy to Starscream because he was being served up an old story concept.

Old action figure mold? Yeah.

Old reused animation? Sure.

But old story concept? Never.

To be a fanboy is to desire new product based around a single story over and over continuously until the end of time. "I fear change, but I have to own another statue of Starscream wearing his coronation gear! Why won't they make an action figure with the coronation gear, too!?"

Yea but that's only because plot details like that never got released before.

For me, with the last movie I did not ever go into the movie forums or look at the pictures. The only thing I saw before the movie came out was the toys and the movie trailers. So you can just do that too if you want.

  • 3 weeks later...

"I have no idea what I'm doing and this way I can pass off all the failed concepts and script rewrites as deliberate misinformation."
