They look fine to me.

They pretty much jsut stretched them. Everything is taller and alot of the angle are slanted more vertical then the "classic" version. But like Goki said, even during G1 the symbol was slightly different between various years. I don't see how it looks evil, the colors make it look colder, but put it in Autobot red and it looks fine.

The "changes" to the faction symbols are only minor variations of the originals. not major changes nor whole new symbols. The only real change to the Decepticon symbol is the eyes— the original eyes were triangles, while the movie ones are tetrangles—while the only real change to the Autobot one is the cut-out in the forehead— the original was rounded on top, while the movie one is straight across the top forming an actual triangle. Other than that, and some very slight changes in the anlgles of some lines, There really is no significant difference between the old and new faction symbols.

Ok, so the changes were not huge. But the symbols were changed a bit and I could not help notice it.

I think they look ok. Not really better or worse.

Exactly.

tazbot

...you all know the symbols have changed since 1984, right?

Not the best pics (but the best I could find on google...)

The newer (pre-movie) symbols are skinnier, and have a continuous edge, whereas the old logos had more stuff jutting out.

Go look at any newer TF and compare it's logo to any old G1 stuff you have.

Then be amazed...or whatever. :tfevil

I personally think that the newer look for the faction signs work for the Transformers. I wouldn't be too heartbroken to see the older symbols being put to bed to give way to the new insignias. The newer symbols seem ancient and at the same time gives us a taste of something new. I'm loving the new faction symbols. ^_^

So the autobot logo doesn't look so sad anymore. Good for them.
