New faction symbols

Recommended Posts

Got my first 2 movie figures in today (the protoforms) and I started to wonder.

I am sure you all noticed that the Autobot and Decepticon symbols have changed. The eyes have been modified and I personally feel the Autobot symbol looks a bit evil.

I think they should not have done so as it leaves me wondering if the "classic" symbols are gone for good or not. If they restrict these to the movie(s) I am ok with it but the Autobot and Decepticon logos are classic logos. And enough is being changed already. :tftongue (Not that I mind- I love the movie designs! :thumb)

What do you think?

Don't forget that the G1 logos changed several times during the G1 era anyway.

Not to mention G1 Megatron's infamous "Happy Insignia".

Who can forget that!

I think these new designs are going to be strictly for the movie. I don't think Hasbro has any intention of changing them for their mainline figures for the upcoming series.

I haven't noticed a difference in the symbols, and my movie toys are not near me now. :( Anyone got comparisson pics?

I think they look like the regular TF symbols, but just...matured.

I would say the most changes were done to the Decep symbol. The Autobot symbol looks pretty much the same except for a few angle tweaks here and there. The Decep symbol has had major changes all over the place.

Yeah, that's what I thought they looked like. I'm shocked that anyone would consider those "new faction symbols". They're really just taller, at most.

I guess Michael Bay thought that the classic autobot symbol was too sissy looking for his movie :tflaugh
