More like, the "Bodycount hates everybody" thread. Wowsers.

 

Not that I bothered to read all of the posts in this thread before posting (don't you love it when people do that??), but I personally hope that Primus / Cybertron shows up in the next series.

 

BTW you have to wonder how much further they can take this storyline. In the press release it was like, "the whole universe is at stake...!!" bla bla bla. I mean, where do you go from there? I think Skullfire's right -- we're gonna see the return of the Pretenders next. Of course, if they keep farming the show out to Japan, all of the robots would have to shout, "PRETEND!!" before leaping out of their shells.

First order of business:

 

Notice all Bodycount has had nothing to say after my last post/rant on his "Newbs" comment.

 

Then the rain really came down with even longer rants about Bodycounts G1 issues.

 

I'd just like to say those were great rants; Good job guys especialy the fan who saw Bodycounts G1 collection.

 

With this said I think we "old" can be done ranting about the guy.

 

Next order of business:

In my comment about the Pretenders I actually expect them to be in this line (not just in their own line). Notice how Hasbro said something about "what it really means to be robots in disguise".

 

Now though I have my personal sarcasm about the line I do have some hope.

This is due to the advancement in toy creation and better transformation.

 

If Pretenders are coming then I hope that they will have a great transformation.

 

I noticed now that Takara will be licencing their Microman mold to hasbro for the transformers as in Kicker.

 

This is really cool cos though I don't have kicker yet I did finally get a Microman Master force figure. These things are great and very articulate as small.

 

This leads to my personal prediction about Cybertron (the hope) that there will be robots thaty have Microman robots inside of the original robot. And that the robot can transform into a vehical that the Microman robot can pilot.

 

I'v read that takara wants to make another go at bringing the Microman molds to transformers or connect the two lines together ( this was attemted before in beast wars where a Microman character was supose to be the spark for Tigerhawk and for Megatron).

 

So there is my guess for the Cybertron line.

That would be very interesting and inventive, but I just hope it isn't over 30% of the line. I still would like to see robots who transform into cool looking vehicles, realistic or not.

Oh there would be the usual vehicals to, but they would be able to accomodate microman mold figures.

 

These would be Ultras or bigger.

 

The basics would be the micro molds.

 

Bare in mind that my idea about the use of microman molds as cybertron inhabitants could be robots who don't transform or they could be spark crystals in a humaniod form (like what they almost did for tigerhawk and mega tron dragon).

 

The microman have been on test market sence 2003. Right now Takara will be releasing a microman set of 4 that will come with vehicals that will combine together into one very articulated robot (with articulated fingers no less).

 

If this sells well then this is somthing that would carry over as a robot for cybertron.

 

The first actual test product to see if trans fans will like the microman mold will be in Kicker (they are getting us used to this mold essentually) and to boot the Arcee bike will fit kicker perfectly.

 

Personaly I feel that Takara/Hasbro should have released Arcee with Kicker. Oh well...

 

But yes, I believe that we can expect to see more of these microman molds for transformers.

I already got the new Microman Master Force (all 4 of them) and they are amazing. For a figure the same size as a Star Wars figure they have 30 points of articulation.

 

Thats right! Kicker will have 30 points of articulation. You can sit him in a lotus position!

i cant say i like the idea of humans in TF's (i never was a fan of head masters eather) but if by "spark crystals in a humaniod form" you ment like in the linkage comic and it gets all spirtital i think i can live with that all so i want prime to loose some wight

No!.......These micro mold based characters would not be humans.

 

They would be humanoid robots! BIG differance.

 

Again either the Spark Crystal thing like you dicribed (linkage) or non transforming robots in cybertron (yes cybertron has them).

 

I hope that makes things clear.

hummm cybertronians that dont transform and drive the bigger guys so there like action masters toy wise but can fit into prime and co

 

i say make them targit masters they can drive the bot in his alt mode then the bot can fire him like a gun when he is in bot mode

Hmmm...Personally I think it will take either 2 of the following directions:

 

1. This is basically the Armada version of War Within. An all out war for the Minicons, and perhaps a very complex storyline with characters that were first friends, and then became bitter enemies. (Wheeljack/Hotshot springs to mind, but what about Optronix/Young Megatron, before they turn into the Leaders we all know and like?). Of course, this would mean the return of Minicons being all new mold releases. :puke

2. No more Autobots or Decepticons, but just one faction, the Cybertronians. The Autobots discover that their very essences (Sparks) are made out of "living" Energon, like Primus and, like said by Red alert when Smokescreen 'died', are in an armor. They could expand on this, and bring in the whole Microman idea, which sounds VERY interesting. :thumb And who knows? Perhaps a Gestalt or 6? :thumb

 

As for a storyline, well, what about this: The Transformers have finally achieved Primus will ("Till all are one!"), and then the final showdown starts: Unicron is revealed to be nothing more then the shell of the creature known as Primacron (but ONLY do that if he's a VERY kickass mech, and NOT a monkey on steroids!). Primacron is actually the creator of Cybertron (remember Rodimius' goal by rebuilding Alpha-Q's homeworld?), but he sees it as a "failed experiment", hence why he would want to destroy it. And since all previous attempts failed (including manipulating Megatron), and with the danger of all Transformers being one, he sends out his final attack: the Pretenders, led by The Fallen! Alright, maybe not the Pretenders, but at least SOME kind of super evil warriors who were manipulated by Primacron. Oh, and not to forget making The Fallen ultra evil. :tfevil

 

 

Phew...So, how about that?

or it could be 30 eps of meaningless battles with no real goal and the odd ep basicly be good(the return of optimus prime etc) or and more likly bad eps (anything with wheele in a main role,hoist goes to hollywood, carnige in c-minor and so on)

I find it rather interesting, like Skullfire said, Bodycount does not have anything to say. It appears that Bodycount likes to start fights and then just sneak away. He doesnt seem to have a backbone to defend himself with. All his arguments and all his negativity just seem to piss people off. So what does it take to get banned from this board? and why is he still here.

 

Bodycount if you are going to make assumptions and blast collectors with hate because of what they like, atleast have the balls to back up what you said instead of sneaking away like some kinda draft dodging hippie.

 

Anyway, I said earlier, before all the bodycount crap started up, that I hope they do more WW type modes. I still feel that the show needs a darker more grittier feel to it, so it can appeal to the teenagers and older collectors. It would be that hard to incorporate a older audience into the show, with the rise of Anime more and more people are watching cartoons. Just look at the success of Adult Swim shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and my favorite Sealab 2021.

 

Hasbro the fan base is there, feel free to tap into it anytime you see fit.

What Ra88 said here in the above quote is exactly what I had in mind in looking at the Micromen Molds from that spark perspective.

 

Actually I like it more than my concept of nontransforming cybertonians.

 

Also going this dirrection would darken the story a bit and make it more grown up and edgy. :thumb
