Transformers Cybertron

Recommended Posts

No more Autobots or Decepticons, but just one faction, the Cybertronians. The Autobots discover that their very essences (Sparks) are made out of "living" Energon, like Primus and, like said by Red alert when Smokescreen 'died', are in an armor. They could expand on this, and bring in the whole Microman idea, which sounds VERY interesting. :thumb  And who knows? Perhaps a Gestalt or 6? :thumb

What Ra88 said here in the above quote is exactly what I had in mind in looking at the Micromen Molds from that spark perspective.

Actually I like it more than my concept of nontransforming cybertonians.

Also going this dirrection would darken the story a bit and make it more grown up and edgy. :thumb

since it's still a kids' show, I am afraid that making it "darker" would necessitate a greater "comic" element to offset the scary bits. Remember G1 Season 3? More mature storyline, but you also had to endure Wheelie and Daniel and Blurr and Wreck-Gar and Kup and.... well, pretty much all of the Autobots. (They even made Grimlock t3h suxx0rz.) And of course we all know what happened to TF after that: it was t3h c4nc3ll3d.

Personally I would have liked to see what happened to cybertron at the end of Beast Machines. Ah well maybe dreamwave will expound on this.

:pfx I think I am one of the few who liked Beast Machines :thumb

That was the problem they added too much comic relief.

I think we were discussing a story line that would appeal at least to a teen age or a 5 year old who wants to be intelectually stimulated.

Oh no did I just say that?

Yep, and no it does not mean that we get to digress about how most kids are getting less inteligant or what ever can of worms that might be opened based on my statement on 5 year olds.

My point is that one can darken the story and still retain the original kiddie fan base while attracting the rest of us fans.

In fact Hasbro has mentioned resently that they are very much aware of how important it is to target the 18-35 ages.

So keep this in mind folks.

i want a show like aqua teen hunger forge but with minicons that why we find out what happend to them and they cant piss off each other and get up to all sorts of crazy antics.

Could "Transformers: Cyberton" be based off the Takara Robotmasters line? Maybe? Probably not. I'll be quiet. :tfhuh

I thought that they had the right balance between comic relief and the edgier storyline in Beast Wars. They can make a series that is grittier/darker that appeals to us older fans and still have it appeal to children as well. It would just take some *cough*effort*cough* on the writers part.

comic relief is good if it's actually funny. And if it's "relieving" something. If a show is goofy to begin with, there's not much need to add *more* goofiness.
