I was about to say this. I like mine. He could have been better but Im shocked you're surprised. The pics have been online forever. I say if you dont like a toy by looking at the pics, you're not gonna like em in your hands

i like mine, but i think its because i had no expectations due to the pics floating around on the web before he was released. and having the better versions really makes a difference on your opinion on the mold. my alt prime is so meh next to kiss convoy and nemesis prime.

Sandloki, you won't be disappointed with Camshaft.

 

Camshaft surprised me by being a good repaint compared to the likes of Rollbar. the Dull silver injection compared to the chrome paint of the other Silver colored alts.

Mine's actually a lot better than my Alt Prowl.

Yeah based on the pics the Q/C looked a lot better than either Ricochet or Rollbar and I had no problems passing on both each time I saw them. I also don't mind the molded grey plastic for the alt mode. I already have Grimlock, and Silverstreak why on earth would I need another silver car. It's a nice change and sets Camshaft nicely apart from the other alts. JMO.

Well, been fiddling with him most of the day today, and still kind of more impressed with his vehicle mode than his bot mode. Unfortunately, he won't fit in alt mode on my shelf. My TFs must be in robot mode for spacing purposes.

I never took mine out of the bubble. Ended up selling him in the Endcap. The mold looks WAY better in black anyway, so I ponied up the dough for a scalped Nemi.

 

Mirage despite maybe some Q/C issues should overall be pretty good. Especially from what I've read over the past half year or whatever it's been since release. :thumb

 

Mirage replaced Shockwave as my favourite Alt. I'm not a fan of the back kibble at all, but the rest of him is just so damn cool...

Yeah, got him 2 weeks ago. Should have lefted him in the bubble. Transformation is lame and his joints are super weak and loose.

 

And I do agree, Mirage is by far the best alternator!

Best car mode! Best Robot mode! And Best Transformation!

It took a while, but my Alt Prime is growing on me. I too have the same problems getting him back into truck mode tightly though, so after it took so much to do it, he's not going back into bot mode for a LONG time!!

 

As for Camshaft, he's not as bad as I thought he would be, but the grey plastic still looks like primer compared to the other Alts - esp. because of Grimlock and Silverstreak getting full paint treatment.

 

And Mirage? Yeah, he's way sweet, but I don't like this new trend on Prime and Mirage to just have pieces hanging in place rather than locking in. Basically, the entire car minus the rear fenders is dangling from his upper body!

I got Prime and Nemesis a few months back, their alt modes are great, but the robot modes are fairly bad. The mold would have been better as Kup.

No kidding, if Mirage's flip-over chest piece locked into place somehow that mold would be much better. As it is you can't pick him up without having to rearrange it.

I think he would have made a perfect Trailbreaker (edit: Prime mold)

I totally disagree with this. I was all "meh" about Brakedown from pictures online, but actually enjoyed him when I got my grubby little mitts on 'im.

 

As for alt Prime... I am not a truck fan, so yet another reason for me to go 'meh' on 'im.
