Well isn't Optimus Prime Vs. Megatron 2-pack sort of an exclusive or out of normal sort deal?

 

Also because Cosmos is confirmed that means we will see a wave 3, no question about it.

The Magnus/Skywarp set is the only exclusive, the Prime/Megatron set is a standard release.

 

Actually I thought the Prime/Megs set was a TRU exclusive and Magnus/Skywarp was a Target Exclusive.

 

 

Yeah thats what I thought...basicly exclusive or not this is special collectors set w/ a dvd to boot (greatest battle scenes) and while it maybe general release it is not a general character set but sort of an extra "gimmy" if you will to promote classics cartoon or the classic movie.

This article lists Cliffjumper and Ramjet as Wave 3, so I don't think we know everything that will be in Wave 2, but I'd imagine Thudercracker is among the contenders.

 

And, if this article is correct, and there is a Wave 3, that means we've got at least 4 more deluxe level toys coming our way. :thumb

This shows that the only Wave two deluxes are Mirage and Grimlock. And this statement confirms that there will indeed be a Wave 3.

I'd really like to see Classic Dirge and Thrust with remoulded wings... but I fear that in their supreme laziness, Hasbro will simply repaint Ramjet so that Dirge and Thrust will have repainted Ramjet wings. :(

 

Why? Look at Cliffjumper. They could have given him a new head... but noooo... he's just a freakin' repainted Bumblebee - and remember that the original Bumblebee was readily available in both yellow and red (it's just that the Marvel comics had to pick one of these variants to use - they chose yellow, the cartoon followed suit and the yellow variant become iconic for that character). I can deal with the fact that Cliffjumper has the same alt mode (although ideally he shouldn't, since G1 Cliffjumper was a completely different car from Bumblebee), but to keep the very iconic looking Bumblebee head?! Meh...

 

So as much as I'd really love to see Dirge and Thrust with remoulded wings, as they say in Star Wars, "I have a bad feeling about this." ;)

I think Thundercraker was described by Aaron Archer somewhere along the lines of 'Probably - we'll see.'

 

 

There was a RUMOR of a Classics three pack. I guess that could inclue Thundercracker, Dirge and Thrust.. although there may be those in Hasbro who would resist a set which basically has the same mold three times.

Thrust was my first MISB Seeker when I was a kid. Him coming out again interest me most. He better have the wings or not come out at all.

Actually, Im more interested in new Decepticon molds. I dont want all of them to be seekers besides Megs and Astrotrain.

the 3-seeker pack you speculate would rock. Not to mention - this line has more nostalgia dripping off it than ever, and us collectors are possibly a larger factor in "what would sell".

 

And you know we'd pick up TC, Dirge n Thrust in a heartbeat.

No, it says that Mirage and Grimlock are AMONG the Wave 3 releases, not that they are the ONLY Wave 3 releases.

Wow, then we really have no clue as to what well get in wave 2. That's amazing that Hasbro has been able to keep so tightly under wraps the deep dark secrets of wave 2 classics.

 

So everything we've seen so far wave 3, yeah right!?!?!?!
