FWIW - i like my RiD magnus and hes not 20 years old.

OK besides Magnus from RID...forgot about him, thanks Hunter

I feel I need to stress that Classics in Hasbro's mind is just a filler line. Expecting a full line is silly IMO.

As long as Optimus Prime dies in this line, I'm happy.

G1 Optimus Prime's death is a good thing, I agree, but I want Classics Optimus Prime to die so Classic Hot Rod/Rodimus can finally become Rodimus Prime.

I'm kinda disappointed with Starscream. He's too blocky and the quality of the facial sculpt is obscured by the flat colour they used on it. He seems more like a homage to Pretender Starscream than the original Starscream to me.

And would it have killed to give Bumblebee a gun?

I'm kinda disappointed that Astrotrain's shuttle mode has the train kibble hanging off the sides... even G1 Astrotrain did a better job of concealing its train and shuttle kibble between the two alt modes. And you can't tell me that with today's modern toy engineering, that they couldn't have done something to conceal the shuttle jets in train mode. (-_-)

I still think that these are neat toys... just that some things could have been improved upon.

Rodimus is neat. My only very minor complaints is why his spoiler is orange instead of yellow. Also, the head seems to be more of a tribute to Energon Rodimus than to G1 Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime (the G1 version never had those yellow Prowl/Bluestreak-esque forehead fins).

Not sure if I wanna grab Prime and Megatron. I heard that there's going to be Ultra versions of these characters, with Ultra Megatron being a tank instead of a nerf gun. If so, I'd be willing to wait for the Ultra set.

As often as Bumblebee used a gun on the show...having none is just fine for me.

He did? Rocket steam locomotives are common sights then?

It would be interesting to see how a Classics Soundwave would live up to todays portable music technology. Would they model him after a DiscMan? An MP3 player perhaps? If so, what about his minions?
