At Iacon the drop test was explained by an ex-Hasbro employee (I think it was Kyde) at a panel.

It apparently doesn't involve dropping the toy. It involves dropping the box/packaging to see if the weight of the toy and strength of the box can survive the possible trials of shipping.

I probably should have asked Aaron Archer to confirm this when I was at Botcon...

Hey, it occurs to me that I've yet to see a comparison shot of his alt mode with MP Prime or any of the Alts for scale. Would somebody mind doing one (if you're not afraid to Transform him again)?

I already posted this shot elsewhere on the board, I'll go for the back 2 back shot today...after the careful transformation lol

And another. Also previously posted on the boards, but I think worth another look.

EDIT: Oh and Skywarp, that is by far the best pic of the smirk I have seen online. All the others make it look terrible, but that actually is a really good representation of what it looks like in person. Again, nice.

he's teh awesome{fanwood stuff}

I just got my order from BBTS.

Not only is it BROKEN (the tail fins fall off because the molding that holds them in is incomplete) but it is just about the poorest construction I've EVER seen in a transformer.

It is loose, rickety, ill-fitting and nearly impossible to transform (not because the transformation is difficult but because the poor construction makes it feel as if the figure is going to break when it is touched).

Unless you have money to throw away, avoid this item. I'll be returning mine on the count of it being broken.

This is no Masterpiece. MP-1 set the bar for the Masterpiece line and this figure falls FAR short of meeting the standard.

Yikes!

So mobile - would you be interested in another *not broken* one?

Or is your frustration for the mold beyond QC?

Does anyone have any kind of gauge of what the Japanese boards are saying about this? They've had it for about a week more than us and I'd like to know what the mood is after everything sets in.

Yeah, I'm always wondering what TFans in japan think about the MP's and particularly Kiss.

Yikes!

Pretty sure this killed it for me.

I preordered this thing months ago, dished out over 100 dollars and waited patiently only to have a rickety piece of cheap plastic show up on my doorstep broken.
