hey am, would you be able to take a group shot of your attackix collection? im interested to see what some of them look like. especially rodimus. its not like i need something else to spend on but i am intregued every time i see them. or if anyone else could send me some links of pics id be greatful.

Yep. I'll see about that when I get home this afternoon. The only "regular based" version I'm missing is Cyb. Megatron, but I have him in the chrome and gold bases, so he'll fill in.

so you have (nearly) all of the first collection? which ones are exceptionaly rare? did it take alot of buying to get all those?

Yeah, I've completed the first wave, including the starter sets. The ones with chrome bases and the Optimus (firetruck)/Megatron (jet) were the rarest for me. Yeah, it took a good bit of buying to get the whole set. I'm still missing one black based regular release and that is Megatron (robot mode). Fortunately, I've got a whole bag of extras to take to the con, so chances of me getting that one are good.

i think i should pass on these... i get obsessive when it comes to these things and end up dropping stupid amounts of money. when pokemon cards were hot, i collected them, i even have the first five full sets. and they were worth alot of money back then. when i was younger than that i collected marvel cards(universe, masterpieces, spiderman) and it was good. finding the chase cards was fun. hero cards have been dead for some time and pokemon filled the gap quite nicely. but i wasted alot of money on it. to much.

 

funny enough though, i never played the tgc. but like a year ago i found all my pokemon cards in a box and made decks out of them. its actually a pretty fun game.

What's the deal with the chrome bases? Are they just rare chase variants? Also, what does it mean when the Speed number on the tix base is red?

Chrome bases do nothing to change the game. They are simply randomly thrown in rarities for collectors. I kind of wish they were more powerful, but I really haven't played the game anyway. *shrug* Not sure about the base number thing....
