I think it's funny to hear Mr. Skir refer to psychotic fanboys as "passionate". :rofl

It's like he can see into our creepy parents basements while we bang away on our keyboards :eek

It wasn't that bad of an interview.  I have no opinion on it really since I wasn't around the 'Net when BM was on, so I didn't see the massive outrage the show seemed to have caused.

BTW, it was great watching this show again.

What the freakin' heck was that!? I, like many of us old timers gave Beast Machines a chance. It had great potential in that it took place exclusively on cybertron as no other transformers series has. And the fact that you created this forum for the fans to express our thoughts directly to the team creating the show, I thought that you, of all people, would heed the suggestions and the warnings that we gave.

Now, while I understand that you do ultimately have to answer to Hasbro and that you didn't call all the shots on the show, I think that you still could have done something. Beast Machines flies in the face of everything that we grew up loving. First the characters aren't the giants that we loved, but that was fine, we accepted that. But now you have turned Cyberton into a glorified green house. It is the opinion of many of us out here in cyberspace that both the staff of the show and Hasbro no longer care what we long time fans of the transformers think despite this site you created.

It should show you how devoted we are when we continue to give a show that many of us out and out hate, chance after chance after chance. The only way to salvage the franchise is to follow Takara's lead and bring back the Autobots and eventually the Decepticons. It could be done very easily, we saw at the end of Beast Machines that Primal's spark left cybertron to join the matrix, which means that it is not on cybertron. You could start it off with our current heros or some new characters going off is search of the matrix and go from there.

You have much to make for Mr.Skir.

We fans are legion, and we are not happy.

That's one of the nice ones. If you really wanted to, you could browse bottalk.com to see if any of that mess is still up there. I couldn't be bothered personally (having to register = meh).

WOW...you have got to be fu*king kidding me :MEGAROLLEYEYES

I had only heard the rumors of the kinds of stuff that was said about Beast Machines...but that was...wow.

Oh, that's pretty tame considering a lot of fan-flaming and hate that was around 6 years ago... *sigh* very sad.

I, on the other hand, was among what felt like a minority of fans who vehemently defended Beast Machines and Skir. Not that I expect Skir to remember us, as our voices were drowned out by all the hate-mongering.

Sure, Beast Machines had its flaws to be sure... but Skir and the writers certainly never deserved the Blot that a lot of fans were lumping on them. Including death threats. That was just fcuked up.

you know what's really ironic? that he asked for the autobots and decepticons to be brought back, and we got RiD  :tflaugh1  we would've gotten TT if they STFU'd.

OWN GRAVE DIG'D!!!

I have reflected on this irony many times.

BTW I like his "story idea" HEY LET'S HAVE THEM GO OFF IN SEARCH OF THE MATRIX SINCE IT'S NOT ON CYBERTRON

what a doofus, was he not paying attention for the whole show?

probably

i would like to know what Mr. Skir said, in a nut shell, since i probably won't be buying the box set... if anyone cares to post it.
